CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Clayton County Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a shopping center in College Park.
Authorities were called to the 5400 block of River Station Boulevard Saturday around 4 p.m. Their investigation spanned to West Fayetteville Road in the River Station Plaza, police said. The scene is about two miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Officers said one person was shot and killed. 11Alive has a crew at the scene of the shooting and saw several patrol vehicles in front of the barbershop in the plaza.
Lashawn Hood said the person who was shot and killed was her teenage cousin. She said he was known to loved ones as "China."
"He was a 17-year-old who went through school, homeschooled and went to college and got his master barber license, new owner of a business," she said. "Just a motivated child."

The constitutional carry law is good for law abiding citizens.
Bullshit she is not the cause of this mess especially outside of Atlanta don’t start with me on this. Also constitutional carry law is stupid especially scary ass white people running around the state the numbers is not in their favor no more so they are going to be extremely scared. The police departments in this state should be pissed off at Republicans for trying to pass that stupid gun law…. Because they are going to catch the most hell from some of those CAC’s with guns
No this is not a good idea you have to make scary ass white people out there. And you are going to have more mass shootings.
It's going to lead to a bunch of situations like the woman who got shot last week because she threatened the parents of the kid who fought her daughter at school. A lot of law-abiding citizens are going not act that way in the heat of the moment, especially if they think their life is in danger. You can already see it starting in some area now with people flashing guns during road rage incidents.

There’s too many innocent people black or white catching a bad day because they were not prepared. Most white people are already armed and CCW owners. Crime in metro Atlanta is crazy, I avoid going there unless I really have to be there. They shot up a spot in Buckhead last night. I lived in Buckhead 12 years ago and it was never crazy like it is now.
When I lived in Buckhead you could leave your door unlocked. Can't do that anywhere now.
Hell I'm safer living in the West End. Our criminals go to Buckhead to do their crimes, they just live here!

I had a photo studio at the Metropolitan Loft Complex, we used to leave our doors open till we made it on the First 48. I also thought about getting a crash pad at Sky Loft Condos but crime was my biggest issue.
