Well it seems that the long running rumor for Avengers Earth’s Mightiest heroes cancellation, is a rumor no more! The cancellation has been confirmed by Marvel latest official Press(Print only):

” The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” won’t be renewed for the 3rd Season. Marvel Animation will present their newly developed series “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” in 2013.”

The Press also contained the below Promo image of the upcoming Show:



The roster seems to be the movie roster plus the Falcon (Who is rumored to be part of Captain America movie sequel). The art, however, is very reminiscent of the currently running Avengers Assemble comics mini series

The series is rumored to be shown on Cartoon Network and not DisneyXD. Which sounds doubtful, since Disney owns Marvel, and is home for Ultimate Spider-man and the upcoming Hulk Agents of Smash.

According to our previous info coming from AgentX, Giant/Ant man and Black Panther will join the show down the line.

Expect to hear more info and maybe a trailer during next month’s San Diego Comic Con. Until then, we can all agree to mourn the great Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, for its premature cancellation.

I was hoping it wasn't true but of course it is. Never heard of Avengers Assemble comic or whatever so won't judge it, but how do u cancel the networks highest rated show?? Plus it was dope as shit and the way the last episodes I peeped were going it was even better down the line. What the hell is the point??
 
Good show. Marvel probably wants to take it away from Film Roman who specializes in that kiddy style animation and introduce tighter animation more in-line with the comics.
 
damn i was loving the "scrolls" saga... fuck that show was dope smh i wanted to see what the kree was going to do next

Same thing with the new Spiderman movie! Or DC's New 52 bullshit!!!

i am SHOCKED after all the GREAT decisions Marvel has made to really shit on themselves with one:smh:

Could have really satisfied all the new fans and old fans with a smart animated series...

also a great way to introduce lesser known characters...

this is the only place where DC beats them over the head...

NO EXCUSES: WB MONEY = DISNEY MONEY

If marvel copied DC's Direct to DVD animation and DC copied Marvel's film strategy...

fanboys heads (and more importantly wallets ) would EXPLODE!!!!

Great show. I watch it and Young Justice back to back after d/l it. Animation isn't the best, but the writing is good. :angry:

it will suck. There will be no continuity as they will gear it towards stupid ass kids. But hey, it's not like kids don't remember that shit that happened last week eh? Nothing pisses me off more than when the story changes 50 times and nothing that happened before counts. :angry::angry::angry:
 
I think .. if they decide to do a cartoon as smart and well animated as young justice then this is a good idea.

But i fear they are going to go the Ultimate Spiderman route and fuck up a great opportunity to compete.

Totally agree. The animation is not my cup of tea (a lot of people feel the same way) but they hit the nail on the head with their writing. The entire story arc these past 1.25 seasons has been damn good.

If they introduce a show with the same writing and better animation it will take it up a notch.

I have to co-sign with others. Ultimate Spiderman is rubbish.

Hate to see that.. that show was wiping the floor with every other cartoon on tv...and i'm not even the biggest marvel fan. but that show was dope.

It is/was. To cancel a show just to start a new one with the same characters seems like a waste of time and effort.

It's grown on me too. It wasn't what I expected but, as I've said before, how many times can you do the same thing with the same characters? This gives it a new look and spin where they have complete freedom to to what they want as it's apparent from the first episode that this will not be following the comic canon.

I'm not a fan of the New 52 either but the new Spiderman movie doesn't actually look like it's being marketed toward a younger demo. It looks like a pretty dark movie.
