Batman v. Superman' Fallout: Warner Bros. Shakes Up Executive Roles

Suicide Squad looks like it will be good and I'm hoping WW is as well. BUT...they got absolutely no room for sub par after fuckin up so royally with the biggest names in the genre. SS is actually more risky for them right now than it needed to be but I guess it does have Batman in it. They need to stick to the major characters and prove they can fucking deliver before they even think about any minor characters. Booster Gold? They should literally shoot the exec who proposes some shit like that in the face.

latest

Booster Gold could actually be a pretty cool fish-out-of water action comedy IF they did it right.

Remember, Booster Gold in a nutshell is just a self promoting Douche Bag who went back to the past to capitalize on his future technology. The comedy element is already written into the character.

But they haven't done anything right since The Dark Knight IMO.

I'm not saying the character doesnt have potential. Just that they need to prove they can win with the basic automatic winners first. Remember, BvS was the kickoff of the DCEU. Their universe is booty so far. If Marvel had came out the gate with Iron Man vs Hulk and ruined it, the exec proposing to do Rocket Raccoon anywhere soon on the slate would equally deserve to be shot in the face.

Look Snyder is a good director...you can't take away Watchmen.

That was film - even MORE so than Avengers Thor Hulk Ant Man Black Panther etc...was the one you thought you would NEVER EVER EVER see on the big screen

and damn it if he didn't deliver.

The issue is that seems to be the ONLY palette he knows how to work with. (and he is cvery good at it and every director has their own distinctive style and vision)

but EVERYTHING can''t be dark for dark sake.

Especially if your doing it JUST to be the opposite of Marvel.

I do believe that each studio should have a TONE and COLOR but that isn't ALWAYS necessary.

Guardians doesn't LOOK like Avengers...but Marvel has established a TONE & COLOR.

Synder just isn't the guy you give the keys too...but hell when he is behind the wheel we gonna have fun

but we need someone telling him put on your seat-belt slowdown and stop there is a deer in the road doesn't the GPS voice sound like your mom?

You need someone experienced and able to delegate and control BIG egos and create a TEAM...not a actual director or writer but someone who UNDERSTANDS them.

So to be honest I am not so sure Affleck should be in charge either.

BUT I think he should be given a stand alone Batman flick...and based of THAT we see where it goes.

the division between TV and movies sis a BIG mistake

They need to start slow...

I think Wonder woman (which is funny because of how they treat her as a second class hero) is gonna save the day. I am not a big fan of the actress but I think she got this.

They need to just do the Supermax script...and give Anell the money and do a big screen movie TV show. And you know what? Let the Berlanti crew take the lead, it would be like they did with X Files.

He is locked in Iron Heights...all hell breaks lose and there you go. He can introduce a few more minor league characters.

And do that Booster Gold movie...and make it look BRIGHT and COLORFUL and FUNNY and filled with ACTION so the damn audience can smile for once. So you introduce time travel and alternate dimensions to the MOVIE universe.

Don't be afraid of the light, DC.

then do that Green Lantern movie over and introduce John Stewart and the corps...that will be your Guardians meet Saving Private Ryan.

Do the Flash movie with BOTH Flashes...TV and movie versions.

Do your Aquaman make it like a damn Conan meets 300 in the water...and you better have Black Manta.

And THEN do the Justice League...with George Miller directing

ending with the TV universe meeting the movie universe...

crisis on Infinite Earths.

there you go.

Watchmen was good because that fucker didn't have to tell the story because it was a straight live adaptation from the story so the dude didn't have to craft the fucking story, just like Dawn of the Dead.

The dude can direct great visuals but other than that, his story and plots are pure shit.

true...

but honestly I think they gonna do good with the Squad...that director seems similar to the Deadpool guys and he is really focused on this property.

Honestly I have a feeling Snyder would do a kickass version of the Miller's Dark Knight.

That just seems to be his lane.

And quiet is kept?

He would do an INSANE version of the x-men.

Imagine Snyder doing Days of Future Past?

I have more hopes for SS squad because Ayer showed he can write a good story ( training day, end or watch, plus direct a good movie also.

thats fair...but that is why I think with CONTROL he could be a great person in the chair.

I'm waiting for Suicide Squad before I make a judgement on the DC Cinematic Universe. We need to see at least one non-Synder movie before we can call it over. That being said .... Bruce Timm motherfuckers

Hopefully they learned their lesson and are rewriting Wonder Woman

They should have re-cast it. It's fucking wonder woman. And wonder woman means tiddies; not that 2x4 they got. My god, when tertiary Marvel characters are hotter than your star you are in deep do-do. ie: T'challa's bodyguard, agent Hill, agent 13, Aunt Mae...

Where are all those cats who were defending BvS to the ground? Cause, I mean like, there's this:

"BvS, which cost at least $300 million to make, has grossed less than $870 million worldwide since its March 25 release. Warners has said the film will be profitable but it was hardly the home run the studio had wanted.

In stark contrast, Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Civil War is heading toward $1 billion in less than two weeks of release. The movie also pitted heroes against each other, but Marvel's lighter tone and bright colors (while tackling more serious themes) are clearly resonating with audiences. So Warners is attempting a course correction."

Man if Marvel gets FF back imagine who Sue Storm will be.

It's what happens when idiots run things

They thought they could just throw shit on the wall and it would stick.
Superman dying shouldn't have even made it out of the developmental stage
All the people who signed off on Superman dying should be thrown out of a 3rd story window.

I don't want them to die I just want them to have a crippling reminder of how fucked off a decision that was from a universe building stand point....dumbasses!

Haven't seen it. Was the movie that bad?
Yes. Unfortunately it was that bad. All the hate isn't just hyperbole. And having Civil War come out shortly after BvS and having a similarly plot (superheroes fighting) and being leaps and bounds better than BvS isn't helping. How Sydner hasn't been fired yet is amazing to me. Everyone involved with the decision making of BvS needs to be fired immediately.

Nah. Not that bad. If you're not expecting a oscar winning performance. The stuff they found mad to be about isn't even much to be mad about. And some shit shoulda been expected. Like with Lex. And the action was what it's about. It's a comic book movie. Based on comic books.

No it wasn't bad at all imo.
They just didn't execute it perfectly

The perception is negative before it even came out and then everybody rode the wave of hate

My complaint is they didn't go full dark which would have closed all holes

And the rock music during the fight and superman dying in the grand scheme of things not going dark and superman dying wee big issues

But everything else was dope.

If superman lived and they demonstrate how he ignores the cries of everybody on the regular and was only wanting Lois I'd love it

your theory is making the same mistakes Snyder keeps making
no matter the specifics or even if they change up the mythos this movie would have been a success if Snyder truly understood this image:

We disagree I could have made it work
But to your point this movie was 1 movie too soon in the series
There should have been 1 more adjustment movie for superman where he truly becomes the good. You could even have dad luger be the villain

And as a result of it kid luger comes into power and it coincides with batman v superman
.that's how I would've approached this movie

It wouldn't be out until 2019 it'd be superman v luger for me in 2016

ask Martha...

-but IMO it really was that bad

It was awful man, I went back to watch again and fell asleep. Louis was stupid. Lex was annoying. Superman didn't do much. Batman was OK and those dreams were awful.

I think SS fails as well. Just from the Harley Quinn .
