Correct. Whites have always co-opted things from us. I wish we would have more conversation on HOW to prevent that from happening. I understand how an accusation of "homophobia" has become a powerful bludgeon to beat down ANYONE who is counter to their agenda (but also many times to righteously identify and root out abusive behavior against them). We have powerful technological and social tools at our availability that our ancestors and predecessors 50 years prior did not have. All of us are walking around with computers in our pockets. Many of us are using them more as tools of entertainment rather than to effect change, organize or educate ourselves. There are so many resources we have at our availability.

Understand this, 50 and 60 years ago, just as today, there were a great number of negroes who sat on the sidelines and criticized those who were putting their lives on the line to pull us out of terrorized status. Those same ones benefitted from the hard work of the ones who were on the front lines. We just got to keep fighting regardless.
