Time to start taking bets on how many episodes before they cancel.
The only reason they are pushing this show so hard is because they want to virtue signal to the LGBTQRSUV community. Its all identity politics. They don't give two shits about this show being successful.
I bet the writers are only allowed to be gay women because only a gay woman can write a gay female character with authenticity.
Its like when the lesbo community was mad that Wonder Woman didn't look like a fat dyke when she was cast.

The Cinema Spot has exclusively learned that Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan is being eyed to play Ryan Wilder on the Batwoman television show.
In a bizarre move, it was announced last month that Batwoman lead actress Ruby Rose has decided to leave the series ahead of its already-announced second season.
A few weeks after the initial announcement, a casting call for a character with the name “Ryan Wilder” was found on Reddit, which has since been confirmed by showrunner Caroline Dries. She stated at the ATX Television Festival that they are creating a new character instead of recasting Kate:
This idea has caused a lot of backlash amongst fans, with some fans stating that they will not be watching Batwoman‘s second season if Kate Kane is getting replaced. Unfortunately for the fans, it seems like Batwoman is moving forward with the Ryan Wilder character. Thus, The CW wants actress Vanessa Morgan for the role.
Earlier this week, Vanessa Morgan called out the popular young adult series Riverdale for sidelining Black characters, stating:
Morgan is currently the only black lead on the hit CW show. Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa replied with the following:
It was previously announced that, spoiler alert, Riverdale is set to do a time jump heading into Season 5. Therefore, it is likely that if Morgan gets the role of Ryan Wilder, her Riverdale character Toni Topaz will not be returning after the time jump.
We’ve heard that alongside her audition, Vanessa Morgan will also be doing a screen test. This screen test will presumably be done with other members of the main cast.
This does not mean that other actresses can not audition for the role, though. The CW wants an actress who is younger than 30 years old, and “gets” Berlanti Productions and its culture.

I've said this from the start. They'd better realize who their demographic is. 12 year old and up males; watching to see chicks in catsuits and cleavage. wtf is so hard to understand? There are some females who like to see the buff guys without shirts but come on, son.
Can't find much on the Ryan Wilder chick, but anybody is better than Ruby Rose. She was dreadful in that role. IMO she brought the whole show down. It was painful watching her and for that reason I never got past ep 4? The kindergarten plot didn't help but as playahaitian said, that's the DC formula.

I never liked Ruby Rose in any incarnation. I just don't think she's much of an actress. And her body is wack. Plus, she's an out lesbian. Not that I have anything against that but to be honest it affects her perception as an actress. I mean her desirability to the very demographic they're trying to attract. Lesbians are fun to play with but can you believe her wanting a man? Batman for instance? Or Robin or whoever? Nope. And it's because of her private life and lack of acting ability. So males are never going to lust after her because in the back of their minds is the fact that she ain't down for the D.

A production assistant working on the CW’s Batwoman has been left paralyzed from the waist down after suffering an injury on the set of the Warner Bros TV-produced superhero drama series, which films in Vancouver.
Amanda Smith, 30, was working below the Georgia Viaduct in Vancouver during a location shoot setup on March 11 when “the bucket of a lift lowered onto her head,” according to a GoFundMe page created for Smith.
“Batwoman”CW
Smith had her back to the machine, and she was unable to hear the lift over the sound of traffic from above, her friend and colleague Tyler Mazzucco, who helped set up the GoFundMe page, told the Vancouver Sun.
“She was literally just sitting there and it came down on top of her,” Mazzucco said.

The Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia (WorkSafeBC) has launched an investigation into the incident.
“A valued member of the Batwoman production team was recently injured during the preparation of a filming location in Vancouver,” a rep for Warner Bros TV said in a statement to Deadline. “Our thoughts are with her for a speedy recovery. We are working closely with WorkSafeBC to provide any and all requested information. We continue to work to protect the health and safety of all our crews, casts and employees.”
Smith suffered serious spinal injuries, including burst vertebrae, and was rushed to Vancouver General Hospital for emergency spinal surgery.
“Unfortunately, with this type of surgery, there is no way to know if it was successful until she undergoes significant therapy,” Mazzucco wrote on Smith’s GoFundMe page. “She is currently paralyzed and cannot feel anything from the waist down.”
Friends and family are hopeful that with time and rehabilitation, Smith, who also is a well-known comedian in the Vancouver area, may one day regain sensation in her legs.
“Amanda will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and she needs our help to make ends meet until she settles. We do not want her to have to worry about finances as she goes through these uncertain times,” the message on the GoFundMe page reads.
As of Monday morning, the online fundraiser for Smith had passed the initial $50,000 goal. The new goal has now been set at $100,000. I hear the producing team of Batwoman have reached out to Smith and her family to offer assistance.
The accident occurred two days before production on Batwoman shut down due to spread of the coronavirus. Starring Ruby Rose, the series, already renewed for a second season, is produced by Berlanti Productions/Warner Bros Television. It hails from writer-executive producer Caroline Dries and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns, David Nutter and director/executive producer Marcos Siega.
