Where is Kool Moe Dee..."HOW YOU LKE ME NOW"?

A classic battle with LL but in the end "JACK THE RIPPER" killed him and the battle. But Moe D more than held his own.
Moe Dee served the hell out of LL on several occasions.

Where is BDP..."BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY"?

I see you have "CRIMINAL MINDED" on the list a classic album. The release of "BY ALL MEANS NECESSARY" was highly anticipated by "THE HIP-HOP HEADS"
and it dropped like it was World War 2 Hiroshima:
1. hard
2. Raw
3. Creative
4. Intelligent
5. Moving HIP-HOP creativity to the next level
6. Street Intellect
7. Social Commentary
8. Love of BLACK PEOPLE
9. JUST STRAIGHT-UP HIP-HOP
10. Others headed back to the LAB if they even knew or wanted to compete

I almost forgot the 2nd album from ERIC B. AND RAKIM. "FOLLOW THE LEADER".

The single "FOLLOW THE LEADER" was so out of this galaxy cats was blown away.
The "R" was light years ahead with the flow, subject matter and whole approach to being an MC.

Give this a listen if you have not heard it, you will not be sorry.

Peace All,

In my opinion Dre at his best and with the best MC he ever brought to the table.

"THE FORMULA" the DOC is highly under-rated to be one the greatest MC's ever.

I'm about to pull this album, yes wax out and listen to it. I have not listened to this in years.

And I'm not a big fan Cali MC's or Producers, but theses two together in their prime were a force!

Peace to the DOC!

Raising Hell wasn't event Run DMC's best album. The first one (Run-DMC) was their best. Hell "King or Rock" was better than Raising Hell.

Got to go with PE. Personally I think Too Short "Life is Too Short" was the best complete hip-hop album I've ever heard.

Peace,

I agree with Run DMC comment. Raising Hell blew them into mainstream stardom. But for HIP-HOP HEADS the first 2 albums was it.

With jams like "ROCK BOX", "30 DAYS", "SUCKER MC'S", "YOU'RE BLIND" and "KING OF ROCK". I know I'm forgetting at least 10 jams, but my memory fails me.

THE ALBUM TITLES ARE "RUN-DMC" AND "KING OF ROCK".

THE imagery of the "KING OF ROCK" video outside a make-shift ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME, was powerful. With RUN-DMC boldly stating in a video era at that time dominated by rock-n-roll....

"I'M THE KING OF ROCK, THERE IS NONE HIGHER
SUCKER MC'S SHOULD CALL ME SIRE
TO BURN MY KINGDOM, YOU MUST USE FIRE
I WON'T STOP ROCK'IN TILL I RETIRE!"

I have not posted pics or vids in a minute I forgot how it goes.

If you give me a quick tutorial or direct me to a thread, I will post some of these songs mentioned

I'm sure the YOUNGER HEADS" may have never heard these artist and some of the "OLDER HEADS" would love to hear them again.

..I meant that It Takes A Nation, as well as Fear Of....not Flava's crazy ass. I dunno what's wrong with that dude. To Chuck's credit he never throws his friend under the bus. He just says welp, Flava is Flava.

Honestly, I feel Flava Flav was setup to look foolish to discredit everything PE stood for.

idk about that. He wasn't tricked. His behavior is, well, Flava being Flava. Distasteful? Without a doubt. Flava also had a classic cut in "9-1-1 Is A Joke." I think Chuck is way too hard for anything to discredit him or his work.
