The new Savage x Fenty runway show dropped on Amazon Prime Video at midnight Thursday night/Friday morning. The show featured bars by Halsey, Migos, DJ Khaled, Big Sean and A$AP Ferg and bras by Rihanna. All the models came through as well, including the Hadid sisters, Joan Smalls, Cara Delevigne, and Paloma Elsesser. The collection became purchasable on Amazon and the Savage website at the exact same moment the runway show premiered, so lingerie lovers could seamlessly transition from watching to purchasing to wearing. Late capitalism, but make it fashion!

(AllHipHop News) Does Chris Brown want that old thing back? The "No Guidance" hitmaker was one of the more than 17,000 people to write a note under a recent Rihanna Instagram photograph.
RiRi uploaded a picture of herself lying next to a lamp while dressed in her Savage X Fenty lingerie. The fashion mogul captioned the photo, "Be the first to have this and more pieces from the @savagexfenty show now on SAVAGEX.com."
Breezy decided to drop a "" emoji in @badgalriri's comment section. He also wrote, "I wanna b the lamp ." Chris Brown, 30, and Rihanna, 31, dated over a decade ago before Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting the singer in 2009. They later reconciled and recorded the "Birthday Cake" remix off Rihanna's 2011 album Talk That Talk.
This is not the first time in 2019 that Brown was connected to leaving comments under a photo associated with one of his former romantic partners. In June, blogs revealed alleged Instagram screenshots of the Virginia native dissing Victor Cruz, the current boyfriend of CB's ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran. Brown suggested his account had been hacked.

Rihanna Hopes This 500-Page Book Can Hold You Over While You Wait for a New Album

What’s that you say? You want a new Rihanna album? Well, you’ll have to settle for a book right now. The former musician (okay, she last released ANTI in January 2016) and current Fenty businesswoman announced a “stunning visual autobiography,” out this fall through Phaidon Press, called Rihanna. It’s 504 pages with 1,050 pictures, 11 inserts, seven gatefolds and a poster, and much of the material has never been published before. (You know what else hasn’t been published? That reggae album.) If that’s not enough, there are three special editions: The Ultra Luxury Supreme edition comes with a marble pedestal and is already sold out, the Luxury Supreme edition includes a gold-plated tabletop stand and will set you back $5,500, and the Fenty x Phaidon edition (you know she had to) throws in a “This Shit Is Heavy” stand for only $175. (Just want the 15-pound book? That’s a steal at $150.) There will be 10 Ultra Luxury Supreme and 990 Luxury Supreme editions, both of which are signed by Rihanna and artists the Haas Brothers. Yet somehow, none of these deluxe editions comes with new music.
“I am so excited to share this collection of incredible images. I’m very grateful to the talented photographers and artists who contributed. We’ve been working on the book for over five years and I’m really happy to be able to finally share it with everybody,” Rihanna said in a press release. Which raises the question: How long have you been working on those damn albums? At least she won’t keep us waiting on this for too long — the Fenty x Phaidon edition starts shipping this Thursday, October 10.

Somewhere, right now, probably perched in a hammock between two palm trees, swaying in the breeze, Rihanna is existing. Life is so unfair. The people’s pop star, with her new photography book on shelves now, has retired to a lavish location, where she will now proceed to blow our minds via social media. Just last night, she posted a video of her catwalking outside a villa. A video that says everything from “No, I’m not working on the album” to “Just because Fashion Month is over doesn’t mean I won’t take your gigs.” The post has over 10 million views, over 90,000 comments, and only half of those views are from employees of Vulture.com (a sizable fraction from yours truly). Even though it’s in slow motion, the video demands careful analysis.
The outfit? Relaxed and understated — her tattoos are the accessories. The bag? House of Fenty, of course. #IsItSponWhenYouRuntheCompany? Our wigs? Launched! Never to be seen again. Frankly, we don’t want ’em back! If her evil plan was to get us to forget about R9 (and the alleged R10), congrats, it worked!

Rihanna has confirmed she turned down the chance to headline February’s Super Bowl halftime show in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick.
In 2016, quarterback Kaepernick started to kneel for the pre-game national anthem in protest at racial injustice in the United States. He has been out of the NFL since leaving the San Francisco 49ers in 2017, and he later settled a case with the league in which he alleged he had been blackballed by team owners for his protests.
In an interview with Vogue published online on Wednesday, Rihanna was asked whether she had turned down the Super Bowl in solidarity with Kaepernick. “Absolutely,” she said. “I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”
February’s show was instead headlined by Maroon 5, who garnered underwhelming reviews for their performance. Cardi B was also approached to headline the show but turned down the chance as a show of support for Kaepernick.
In the interview with Vogue, Rihanna also addressed the treatment of mass shootings in the US. “It is devastating,” she told the magazine. “People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist.” She added: “Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the president.”

All We Want for Christmas Is a Rihanna Album But We’ll Take This Amazon Doc

There are 19 days left in 2019. I know that not from simple math, which I cannot do, but from the sheer amount of Rihanna stans on Twitter frustrated that the year is almost over without a follow-up to Album of the Decade contender, ANTI. On Thursday, a Rihanna headline on The Hollywood Reporter gave us a brief glimmer of hope. However, after some simple reading (which I can do), we learned that the announcement was for … an upcoming Peter Berg–directed Rihanna documentary, which Amazon bought the worldwide rights to for a reported $25 million. This very impressive payday comes a week after Apple TV+ reportedly bought a Billie Eilish documentary for the same massive sum, presumably to diversify their audience beyond the Morning Show Mom set. Previously in 2019, Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty show was released as an Amazon Original, and she co-starred with Donald Glover in the Amazon Studios film Guava Island.
According to Peter Berg’s production company, Rihanna is “is an unfiltered look into Rihanna’s life, providing a glimpse into the evolution of one of the world’s most well-known pop artists. With unparalleled access into the singer’s life and over 1,200 hours of footage, the doc takes us on a journey through private insights into Rihanna’s personality and humor, philosophies on work, family and love that are both moving and inspirational.”
It’s no album, but we’re not going to say no to a moving and inspirational journey into Rihanna’s personality. We’re not monsters.

Our own sources tell us Leonardo DiCaprio has ducked out of Oscar campaigning until he decides just how many Ys to put in the word “hey.”
