Where do you think Alonso will end up? Surely moving to McLaren is sideways step. Both teams are struggling.

Unless Rosberg wins the title and Mercedes decide to ditch Hamilton :hmm:

Thats his only play really, or a one year leave to see how things shake out. I think Mclaren have sold him on the fact that historically theyre more likely to make a one year 180 than Ferrari, and the dream that Honda will come in and do what Merc has been able to do with their power unit. To me its actually a slight step back, as they already have the best power unit on the grid and are still struggling, far worse than Ferrari.

Im sad to see him go, but glad the circus is over. Ever year we get the same rumors come Fall. I know Ferrari havent ben on top, but this season aside theyre always competitive. Redbull was just that dominant. Not much you can do when theyre lightyears ahead of the field for 3 seasons.

This is pretty bad if they won't release the footage, per NBC commentators :smh:

Jules Bianchi has been taken to hospital after crashing into a JCB tractor recovering Adrian Sutil's car during the Japanese Grand Prix.

The race was ended after the incident involving the Marussia driver who failed to respond when his team radioed to ask if he was ok.

He was unconscious as he was driven to hospital.Officials immediately red-flagged the Suzuka Grand Prix, meaning championship leader Lewis Hamilton claimed his third win in succession and eighth of the season.

But celebrations on the podium were muted after news of Bianchi's condition broke.

The tractor was preparing to drag Sutil's Sauber, which had spun off in heavy rain on lap 46 of a dramatic and weather-interrupted race.

As the recovery was taking place, Bianchi also spun off at the same corner and crashed side-on into the tractor.

Nico Rosberg, who finished second in the race, said afterwards: 'Our thoughts are with my colleague Jules - we wish him all the best but it doesn't look good.'

Jules Bianchi is out of surgery and breathing on his own after suffering "severe head trauma" when he crashed during the rain-affected Japanese GP.

With the rain coming down at the Suzuka circuit, the 25-year-old Marussia driver lost control of his MR03 at Turn 7.

Going off into the gravel, Bianchi hit a tractor that was on hand to remove Adrian Sutil's stricken Sauber.

Bianchi was unconscious as he was transported by ambulance to the Mie General Hospital.

There CT scans revealed he had suffered a "severe head injury" and he underwent surgery before being transferred to ICU.

There has been no official word from the hospital as yet with some reports stating that there won't be an official update until Monday.

Sky Sports, though, reported that the "surgery had been completed", which also "ended Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci, Williams driver Felipe Massa and Pastor Maldonado's vigil at the Frenchman's bed".

Other reports claimed that all the other drivers on the grid visited the hospital at some stage during the evening.

It should be said that all of these drivers have amazing skill, as is shown whenever a race is wet

The very notion of sitting on the floor without a windscreen, flying around a track at 180mph with spray flying in your faces, is terrifying Hamilton and Button reconfirmed their credentials as incredible wet weather racers, which may have something to do with tracks in the UK when they were kids

Hopefully Bianchi has not suffered anything career threatening, and whoever takes the blame for the race not starting at 11am Local, is responsible - they were actually expecting far worse weather at the time the race actually started

A bad day for Formula 1 - A great day for Formula 1 drivers to exhibit their incredible skills
