You're a paralegal at the law firm of "Dewey, Cheatham and Howe," and one of the trial attorney's requested that you provide him some caselaw, and additional information that he needs for an upcoming trial in early August. Rather than just leave the information at the office, he wanted additional copies sent to his Upper East Side penthouse apartment (he had to go on a business trip to Houston)
Now, Mr. Rubinowitz can be demanding at times, but overall he is an okay guy, and has even allowed you to use his penthouse apartment when he is out of town or spending the weekend at home (his main residence is in Stamford, Conn. with his wife and 2 children).
However, when you arrive at his place, you find that you are not alone? You assumed that maybe he cancelled his trip because you find a scantily clad young lady enjoying the view of the city.
She introduces herself as "Mary Jean" a very "special friend" of Mr. Rubinowitz.
This might be a blessing or a curse, but you have a very good ear and sometimes people feel that they can talk to you about their problems, issues and that you won't be judgmental.
This lead to Mary Jean saying how she cared for Mr. Rubinowitz, but understood that he was never going to leave his wife and kids for her and although he supported her lifestyle she needed more.
Maybe it was the sadness in her eyes, maybe it was the smell of her perfume,
Maybe it was a momentary lost of muscular coordination?
