...in his prime Slick Rick was the BEST MC out and may STILL be the greatest hip hop STORYTELLER ever. He set trends that still have an impact today. And his life is tragic tale and an excellent cautionary tale because he LIVED A Children's Story in a way, years later with the shooting then deportation.
Shit. Rick influenced Dana Dane, Sweet Tee and created Nas. Brought ego ad lib voice overs to hip hop. Made it cool to bring horrible singing in your songs lol.
