It will help out ALOT....The pause has lasted over 2 years..
People have been able to pay off debt and if you are in the PSLF program, those months counted towards your 120 payments...
I look at it like this....
100 K in student loans....Pause lasted almost 3 years...If I was paying 10% of my income, that's 30,000 over those 3 years I didn't have to pay....
If you are in like the PSLF program, your balance is now at 70K
10 K from the government
Balance at 60K....I would rather pay 600 a month vs 1000....
