Latest daily report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states record-breaking numbers of losses inflicted on the Russian army. As we highlighted earlier, approximately 1,380 personnel, 55 tanks, and 120 pieces of other armored equipment were destroyed by Ukrainians in the past 24 hours.
Casualties exceeding 1,000 were recorded only a few times thus far: last time on October 13th, and also on July 20th. Such large numbers are due to the attempts of Russian command to advance on Avdiivka, eastern Ukraine, starting October 10th.

A large hydrographic boat of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the Vladimir Kozitsky, designed to search for sea mines, has exploded in occupied Sevastopol, the Telegram channel Crimean Wind reported on Oct. 27, citing witnesses.
The vessel suddenly exploded on the outer parts of Sevastopol Bay, where it had been slowly "cruising around" for the past few days.
"Smoke was reportedly pouring out of the engine room," Crimean Wind writes.
“A tugboat was driven to the ‘smoking’ ship and dragged it towards Striletska Bay.”
