So what is the Iranian plan?........the are clearly avoiding conflict with the us.....they gave the Iraqi government a heads up....you know the Iraqi forces told the us gov...thus no casualties.....are they going for a nuke ?
Iran never wanted conflict. It has nothing to gain in a war where it would suffer devastation. What it showed was a lot of courage. Iran fired 16 missiles at 2 US military bases, destroyed buildings and planes, and the US did nothing. Think about this for a moment. The US can say what it wants, but had those missiles landed on top of US troops, those Americans would have died. To say that Iran tried to avoid killing US soldiers is bullshit. When you fire missiles at someone, you are trying to kill. It is that simple. If this was a joke, I wonder what would happen were Mexico, or Kenya, to fire missiles into a US installation, never mind a military base. Trump clearly was dreadful of an Iranian response and literally begged for Iran not to do it. He threatened to attack cultural sites and the family members of the Iranian leadership if the Iranians retaliated at against US citizens or property, and the Iranians did both, except that the US apparently moved its soldiers out of harm's way, after being warned by the Iraqi government, which was warned by the Iranians. Trump can spin this anyway he wants, but in the end he showed his aversity towards war, as I predicted, and hoped- and that was a good thing.
