I've never been in the core of DC after rush hour so I don't know, but I would assume so. They would have to do at least some of training in real world conditions. As a matter of fact I mostly saw the blackhawk versions practicing specifically because the other ones were used so often. The larger choppers were used so frequently that they needed less practice.
