Well Mr. Air Raid, if you would look at his resume as a D2 player, he played for one of the most successful D2 Head Coaches to ever live in Big House Gains. I said the same thing several weeks ago on another site. Folks are too wrapped up in their own hate for Skip. And we’re re projecting their own feeling about Skip through Sharpe. All that "Shannon was tired of Skip bullshit and was ready to pack his bags" Was just more projecting. The relationship wasn't perfect, but they had good chemistry and respected each other. Things became strained at some point and it was time to move on.
And don't care what anyone says. Moving over to First Take was a step back for Sharpe.

Im no steve fan by any stretch of the imagination, but how as he
"losing to max" Personally I think its fucked up how Max got put on
the chopping block, I always thought his commentary was insightful
and many times had way more substance than Steves commentary,
which was just his opinion expressed very loudly.
