Problem is everyone knows Skip is an asshole and no one wants to deal with his mess. He had Micah Parsons scheduled to be on every Monday but when he talked bad about the Dallas defense Micah said no thanks.
I believe Shannon and Fox drove majority of the guests. Snoop wasn't coming on the show for Skip. Remy on the roof never liked Skip he was there for Shannon.
With his love for the Cowboys he could have former and current players on weekly, easily, but they don't like him.

Skip is fucking annoying but if they wave a big enough check around SOMEONE will sign up to be on the show.
My money is still on either Keyshawn Johnson or Joy Taylor.
Skip is smart in that he stakes out almost an idealogical positions in sports, that most GOP/ white folks agree with and then he finds a thread of logic which can be supported by some modicum of truth and he makes THAT the central feature of his argument. Doing this in front of a brother makes it easy for him to hide in plain site... especially when he occasionally champions and/or elevates a brother. Skip is very good about picking and choosing the opportune time for this brand of racism and proxy culture war, and it's what makes his show popular. Having a black person to debate is essential (vital) for this to work. Having a black person who is mad niggerish is preferred bc then his poise and control become another layer in the conversation/ judgement. I believe Skip overplayed this hand with Shannon when he talked to him the way he did. That was a huge signal to the GOP/ white folk audience... and it soured Shannon on the opportunity and hastened his exit.
Skip is always subtle with the racism at the exact right time to reinforce the stereotypes that are baked into white culture. Skip ain't slick and his jig MIGHT be up.

Thing is a 2 month hiatus as of now will have the show missing training camp and preseason football and into the start of the season.
Only reason I can’t believe it’s not just an act with Stephen A is 1) he’s put his money back into the HBCU that made him who he is and 2) he was a hell of a writer at the Philadelphia Inquirer before he got to TV.
He's not gone have any chemistry with Joy. He's gone treat her like well, we all know. I think they should do multiple hosts until one sticks.

Yea Shannon is on the level of Stephen A. and Skip imo, he should have his own debate show and be able to pick HIS cohost.
I don't think Stephen A, is every going to allow a permanent host so he has an equal on First Take.

Dude really? I'd like to know when Skip has done any of what you have said. I'm not huge fan of Skip, but I don't think Sharpe or a lot of people he work with. Hate him the way some of you think. To be honest, I don't see the hidden racism angle you see. I watched nearly every episode of Undisputed.
And one thing I will say..is Skip just about always deferred to Sharpe when discussing anything dealing with racism and blacks. He was no where near a Will Cain or Doug Gottlieb. Two people who usually side with conservative white America when it comes to race topics. And some folks hate him. Just because he has been critical of Lebron and praises Brady.
Can Skip be annoying? Yes

Teaming up with Stephen A..seems beneath Sharpe at this point in his career. Stephen A . has already said he doesn't want a full time cohost. He basically wants Sharpe to be a part of his already crowded rotation of host.
Like you said. Sharpe should have his own show. Where is the lead dog. This would be a step down honestly if he joined Stephen A. In my opinion..Stephen A is more territorial than Skip.
