I love Angel Reese. I enjoyed watching the LSU girls win it all. And I don't see anything wrong with trash talking. The problem I'm starting to have with the aftermath of this whole controversy. Is all the talk about her being an "unapologetic" black woman. You see all these black women championing her for being "unapologetic" and speaking her mind. Some of these women already be feeling themselves too much. And think they have a license to pop off whenever they feel like it with no consequences. Just saying there is a time and place for everything. Be careful how you tread.
The Bidens not having them picked to win it all. Was not a good reason to refuse to meet them before the game. Shit like that happens with every team. I understand if you don't agree with their politics, or they called the team out in the past. I doubt they actually kept up enough to know who they should favor. Some aid or intern prob filled it for them. I understand having a chip on your shoulder and being confident. But nothing wrong with showing a little humility.
They are young so they don't know how to navigate their success and are passing up a lot of opportunity with this ghetto ass attitude. Shame on the adults around them.
I'm black, but I think some of the things she said were over the top. keep it on the court, and show the double standards in the media, but don't go scorched earth. She's already winning, get that money and keep it pushing.

It goes back to all that being an "unapologetic" black woman talk. There is a time and place to say certain stuff. She is young, confidant and deserves to be praised. But again..she is young. They get caught up in the hype sometime and can't see the bigger picture. Saying whatever the hell you want and when you want to. Is not always the best course of action.
All that talk about denying Mrs.Biden entry into the locker room before the game and refusing to go to the White House was really pushing it. Then inviting herself and team to the Obamas to celebrate. Obama knows how the optics of them undercutting the White House wouldn't be a good look. So that was never an option. Of course I doubt she understands any of that. It was all about being "unapologetic" and saying what she wanted.

I thought the team denying the President entry to the locker room was petty. I took the visiting the Obamas as a joke. Like you can't be that ignorant as to invite yourself to the former Presidents house.
