UConn on late foul call: Not the reason we lost
UConn was less than thrilled with an offensive foul call in the final seconds of Friday night's game against Iowa, but acknowledged there were a lot of other reasons why the Huskies lost.
I usually don't agree with him but he has a point there. There was no reason to cry up there in the podium afterwards. Woman up and move on.

The only component I feel bad for Angel on would be the racial insults she's had to endure.

I didn't see this much outcry when the refs 5 minutes after the play said that max strus' heel was out of bounds on a 3 point shot killing the Heats momentum.

The point most are making is the game was called fucked the entire time!!! Missed calls, phantom calls, you name it!!
So why call that BS in THAT moment?!!! 99% of refs aren't calling that lame ass call in the moment in the history of basketball!!
Do you realize how many blatant pass interference calls have been ignored on Hail Mary plays?!! You got dudes doing all kinds of shit while that ball is in the air, but the refs tend to swallow their whistles and let them basically fight it out to get the fuckin' ball!!

The refs can blow the whistle every play in every sport but they don't because they get to determine what calls can be enforced depending on the situation in the game, you're at a crucial moment in the game where you only blow the whistle on that just can't be ignored, there was no way the ref should have blown the whistle on this play at this point in the game

I've watched a lot of women's games in this tournament and just about ever game you've seen the commentators showing different angles of plays trying to point out where a foul actually did occur after the refs blew the whiste when clearly there was no foul or some lil ticky tack touch foul
Games too slow and their are no real rivalries. College is better because of the history of the schools and coaches.
It's all about having more of a rooted interest in the contest and the players.
Caitlin and Angel have blown the roof off women's college sports. Great scoring and personalities are being showcased mostly because of those two.
Angel w/ her unapologetic style may have made her the villain, but it made her millions and put tons of eyeballs on the TV to see her win or lose.
We know more about the back stories of A LOT of these players. You know about their NIL deals, Instagram accounts w/ athletes showing more ass, players feeling more emboldened to take control of their careers and really putting themselves out there as individuals.
No more overly masculine hermaphrodite lookin' bull dykes that represent the sport. That was a turn off to a lot of casual fans. Shit, if we want to see men, we can just watch the NBA or the guys play.
You throw all that in a pile and it has ignited this inferno of interest in Women's college basketball.
You had all that before but there was less coverage of it.
And the coverage changed because society made it change.

When the suits noticed it was profitable (cheap production cost and a market for their advertising rates) they changed their schedules to put it on air.
