The only time I'll give St Aug some shine. R.I.P to New Orleans born Carl Weathers. I'll never forgive Sylvester Stallone for no including him in the Expendables he should have been the first call he made when casting that movie..

One of his first roles.

didnt they have beef?
also sly dont give a shit he killed off his entire rocky family made me believe they were dead in real life lol smh

Damn, first The Black Eagle and now Carl Weathers. Just thrown the damned towel on Black History Month, man.

RIP

I will say this, up until the last time I saw him, he looked like a dude you didn't want to pick a fight with even into his seventies. Him and Ernie Hudson. Ernie Hudson is 78 I believe and dude is cut. Those guys are definitely examples to lead our older lives by to say the least

I'm a close with this, we all got to die. However, he left the legacy of film behind that we can push play on predator, action jackson, the mandalorian, Rocky series, Happy Gilmore and then some. We can always push play to bring him back to life. When you die, make sure someone can push play on something positive that you've done
Karen Hunter was just mentioning on her SiriusXM show how Carl and Ernie didn't seem to age as she talked about Carl's passing. She then said Ernie told her that he doesn't even work out.

This man is truly worthy of the word: ICON.
He was always cool, classy, strong and intelligent.
Carl Weathers was never:
- An embarrassment.
- A sellout.
- A coon nor a buffoon.
And no matter what role he portrayed, he did it with style and excellence.
Regardless of what role he portrayed, he bought both strength and believabilty with each performance.

Thank you, Mr. Weathers for the movies, TV shows (and above all), for always being a positive example of strong Black masculinity.
RIP.
