To Me,
For Boseman to pass on Jack Kirby's birthday is the essence of not only pure irony,
But Honor and Respect.
Among all the other historical footnotes.

This shit truly hurts.
Because Boseman's artistry is one that many can and should aspired to.
I don't see Dude as a Hero.
I see him as The Consummate Artist who was working on his unlimited potential.
That's something to be ultimately respected for.

And I'm going to be fuckin' PISSED if his death is used as some sort of social/political rally cry.

Yeah, man.

I watched it happen for over a month and it progressively got worse until I got the call that his blood sugar was dangerously low.

I remember when I got home, the first thing he told me was “it looks like my rodeo is coming to an end.”

I couldn’t even hold it together. Then watching him die for 3 days was about as painful as anyone could imagine. But I was my his side the entire time. Until his last breath.
I went through this with my mom, I called her as soon as my chopper landed and she was fine, when I got to LA the next morning she couldn't talk or anything. She held on just to see me one last time.

Not 1 damn word from T.I. or Killer Mike yet
I personally don't give a fuck about these 2 clowns
But...but...but... I thought ATL is Wakanda ???

Come on man.....what makes them clowns? It’s not law for them to speak now let them speak when the time is ready. Michael B hasn’t said anything either.

I could've sworn Michael B Jordan already said something
Either earlier this morning, or late last night? :dunno:

And you would think T.I. would at least give his condolences
Especially since he was talking that bullshit about ATL == Wakanda
And also since some of the Black Panther movie was filmed in Georgia

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

I don't know the man like most people outside of his work, but for some reason his death feels like I lost my favourite cousin.

Jokingly, he was supposed to be on the short list of actors to play any and all black historical figures in their films.

Toss in the fact that he died of colon cancer and my mother had it twice before she died after bypass surgery, makes it feel even more heavy to me.

2020 feels like a Rocky fight and we're in the rounds where Rocky is getting his ass beat. It just keeps harder and harder to answer the bell each day, week, and month.

still havent seen Black Panther...
btw, I wonder what lead up to his type of cancer. havent read much about him, but just wondering. diet? what? something like that happening to someone that young is weird, from my pov. they always point to genetics, but when it pertains to black folks, diabetes, cancer etc, i think its more so about our lifestyles.

More than half, up to 75% of colon cancer diagnosed are people with no known risk factor

My mom was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 10. A that point, I gave up all drinks except water, tea, coffer (all sugar free), I've been exercising 3-5 days a week since grade school, I included vegetables in every meal and limited my sweets intake. I still caught Type 2 diabetes, at the same age my mother did. That's just how it is. Maybe the American diet isn't compatible with my system, even if you dedicate your life to eating "healthy," whatever that means considering who controls the food supply. Since then I switched to a low-carb diet.

If you had melanin you'd STFU right now. The lack of it got you talkin out of place.

Chadwick Boseman is a Black American from South Carolina. Anybody that takes issue with that can suck my dick slow. And the next time yall big up a Caribbean or African celeb's lineage in a "divisive" manner when they pass, its gonna get callled out. We not recognizing ethnic groups for negroes no mo, all blacks are the same like the white man told us.

Get the fuck out of here!

Previous genetic studies have shown that African Americans in the US have more African ancestry from populations that lived near present-day Nigeria than from populations that lived elsewhere in Atlantic Africa (Western and west central Africa). In agreement, it was shown in this study Nigerian as the most common ancestry within the US, the French Caribbean, and the British Caribbean.

No words man. I always felt like this brother's spirit was out in front of him... like.. he just came off as a genuinely good dude. And then to find out he was quietly fighting for his life while making these iconic films? While grinding so hard? Then the roles he played with full knowledge it would be his legacy... damn... what a fucking legend. I really hate this year with all my heart and soul.

BTW just watched his Howard Commencement speech (sorry if it's been posted before).... really worth watching... we lost an amazing brother. RIP King.

Black Americans do have African ancestry. But our lineage is ADOS. Africa deemed ADOS unworthy of citizenship and sold us off to Europeans 500 years ago like other distinct groups in the diaspora. We pre date the US itself and are directly tied to its formation and growth into the world power it is. No other group can make that claim as they not from our tribe and do not have our lineage, culture, style, swag, etc. which is very distinct. Black Americans, Chadwick's ethnic group, are some of the greatest people to walk the earth.
