Mind you she was driving from Cuyahoga Falls to Highland Heights an approximately 30 mile journey 30 - 35 mins.....
She crashed at 7:45 ish.....
Did the field sobriety test at 8:35 - 8:45 ish..... then did the BAC sometime afterwards.....
At least an hour after the crash.... she blew a .244!!

She had a blood-alcohol level of 0.244 following the crash Thursday, according to court records. A person in Ohio is legally intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08.

"Strano entered the plea in Cuyahoga Falls Mayor’s Court before Magistrate Alan Medvick. He sentenced Strano to a six-day driver intervention program in lieu of jail.
Her driver’s license will be suspended for one year, though she can drive to work and for other necessities. Strano was also fined $375 plus court costs. Two other charges, having a blood-alcohol level three times above the legal limit and a lane violation, were dismissed."
This chick took out an electrical pole, a fire hydrant, caused damage to the Tow Path Center grass.....in addition to the flooding of the parking lot which needed hours of emergency clean up because of a festival occurring the following morning!!

I assume OVI is waaaay less severe penalty wise than DWI…..the problem w the subjectivity of our blind( but peeking) justice system.

I remember a long while back when one of the local weathergirls here in Arizona got caught shoplifting while high as a kite..a witness with his friend was saying she was pleading with the officer to let her go because she"would lose her job at Ch.3"etc...then he said he heard her saying"i'll do anything..how about,how you and me go in your car's backseat,and i'll su*beep* yo*beepbeep*"She was going to give him free personal weather advice
