I saw a behind the scenes segment on Entertainment Tonight once with Rollins on a movie set, and he was acting sweeter than EJ Johnson. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, I have to believe this is why you never saw him promoting movies on talk shows. What question could they have asked that would have required that answer or to even bring up Avery? Seems like a lot of these podcast dudes are just gossipy hoe's looking to spread someone else's business to get clicks.
None… Godfrey is incredibly talented, and it’s baffling that he hasn’t achieved the same level of success as Kevin Hart. He’s definitely being overlooked in this industry, and there has to be some behind the scene reason why people don’t fuck with him. Even the Shannon Sharpe interview on Club Shay Shay didn’t seem to help his status.
What was the story behind that? I thought it was the other way around. Godfrey said on his show a gay dude accused him of saying something outta pocket or being outta pocket at a hotel then it got him fired from XM. He never mentioned what was happening before then besides doing a show there.
I'm just not understanding why this was put out there. What business is it of Godfrey to spread this man's business like this for confirmation? Reminds me of Fat Joe. Always running his fuckin mouth about someone else's business for clout. It's lame as fuck to me.

Yeah. I didn't see that ET segment but I saw when Arsenio Hall had him on his show. It was super obvious. I too experienced disbelief at what I was seeing. Actually, same thing with James Avery in an interview. Big dawg was super delicate acting and kept talking about his mother.
For the most part, we as the public only see what celebs want us to see. Perception is everything. With any of these brothas, we might not care their lifestyles. But it's their lives to live.
But since perception is everything, it makes sense they hid their homosexuality. If they were out with it, they wouldn't get any straight roles. The general public wouldn't find them to be believable.

Just go to a casting call ull notice how many queers at an audition..I’ve told this story on here b4/several times, I remember me, my boy and my cuzz went to this audition to basically be audience members of a performance over 25 yrs ago .. had to be like 300 black dudes on the line.. at first glance you just thought it was a bunch of regular dudes.. I’m not paying attention to them their dudes.. than this bad chick came through to get on the line, as she walking you hear mad nigs sucking theit teeth, twan voices making rude comments, nigs giving her the evil eye, I’m like hold on wtf all these nigs is homos.. these nigs were pissed a chick came through cause they knew she probably get picked and 1 less spot available as an audience member. I looked at my cuzz like fuck is up with all these queers at this audition and my cuzz was like dogs unfortunately a high percentage of these people in entertainment is gay , you just got to learn how to block them out, and make sure they know you ain’t with the fruity shit.. that was 1 of the first times I really saw how gay this entertainment shit was.. man oh man it’s even worst than you think.. so no surprise that certain figures that played big roles or known characters are gay

Much of that was from a pressure in society that said that it was unacceptable to be queer. Whether it's from the church or from your family-via influence of the church-tons of people would do what they thought they were supposed to do and play the role of hetero when they were actually homosexual. That shit also drove people to be on the down low. That's some really foul shit that comes from a very genuine place of wanting to be what people expect of you rather that who you are. That shit hurts everybody. I think people need to be who the fuck they are. The acceptance of other people does not change what you really want, it just changes what you show them. Imagine somebody telling me I couldn't love lady toes. Now I done went out and got a job at a lady shoe store! I digress, but the point is that if he was gay, he was gay and that's ok. Some of this shit is probably due to James Avery getting married later in life and never having children and he didn't have Wilt Chamberlain's reputation with women.
