I knew that they were left over from the formation of the solar system, but I didn't know from what...

but what's reassuring to me is that this knowledge has very little bearing on my life now. I consider my CPR skills to be more valuable then knowing why a fucking snake rolls up into an orgy ball

yeah, and the fucked up thing is that SOME snakes do that to MATE.
