Your friend Maurice lives with his girlfriend Mia, and from what you can see they have a good relationship. Now the question is does Maurice "cheat" on Mia, well from what you can see "No," he might look at other women and flirt, but you don't think he is out getting involved with any other women.
However, Mia has trust issues, and Maurice told you that an ex boyfriend had cheated on her with a family member. Therefore, she thinks that all men have cheated or will cheat.
So, you thought it was kinda of odd that Mia asked you to come over and see if you can get her radiator to start working this past Thursday evening (Maurice had to take a trip down south to visit his mother in Durham, North Carolina). Nevertheless, you went anyway.
To be honest, Mia is attractive, but you look at her like a sister because Maurice is a very good friend of yours and Mia knows this. Yet when you arrive at her place she comes to the door with a large robe on, and said she had fallen asleep waiting for you to arrive.
So she tells you that the radiator knob will not turn and you managed to get it to work with the help of some WD 40 and a wrench, but what's a little odd is that she is watching you while you work. Telling you how handy you are and that Maurice has to call people to fix things, and how you would probably make some woman a good husband.
At that point, it occurred to you that Mia was still covered by that large robe and you're thinking well the apartment was a bit cold, but then she started getting a little too comfortable when the heat started to come on.
When you saw that, it was your time to leave.

Sunday night you attended a house party sponsored by your childhood friend Victor at his Upper East Side apartment. The crowd was a good mix of people from the old neighborhood and a combination of people that Victor attended college with as well as his coworkers (past and present).
A few people started smoking and you felt the need to move away from the smoke and found a seat near the balcony, and that's where you met Fatima (apparently, she had an aversion to the smoke filled room also. Eventually, Victor told them to stop). Fatima asked you how you knew Victor and wanted to know a little bit about you (you asked the same of her).
For whatever reason she seemed intrigued by your anecdotes and wanted to hear more perhaps over dinner. The thought of going out with Fatima seemed like a good idea, but you know that you're not in a good place financial at the moment, and you felt the need to let her know.
Without taking her eyes off you Fatima said: "Don't worry, we'll figure something out."

I'm sure in life that we have all encountered female friends that we think are playing for one team, but they are playing for the "other team."

Bunni would invite you to her place to watch the NBA playoffs because she liked to talk about basketball with you. In addition, she had a large screened television.
So, you're watching the game Tuesday night and she's got on a big sweatshirt, and it's like you're watching the game with the fellas.
After the game she tells you that you can spend the night if you like (she has all the premium channels). Great, you can watch a few shows and fall asleep on her couch.
Bunni tells you that she's going to bed, but a few minutes later comes out of her bedroom and gives you a blanket and a pillow.
Now, you're trying to make up some excuse to get in the bed with her.
