Just a couple weeks ago I was talking to a friend about our school days and when we were told history about Great Depression in the 20's that sounded SOOOOO LONG AGO. Damn, now we are just a year away from reaching 2020's lol. I remember watching Jesse Owens movie (the 1st one that aired on NBC back in the day) and seeing clips of Hitler thinking it was ancient lol. Then it hit me in the next 16-17 years we will be a hundred years away from that time lol.

I always loved Motown Era even as a kid, but it always felt distanced to me. However, I then realized that time span and the time span of 90's hip hop with Tupac til 2019 is actually longer gap than the gap then the Motown Era and the beginning of rap lol.

Speaking of old tv shows I use to hate Cheers, but only like the intro song. Then I realized I was conditioned to think it was an adult show since I was always sent to bed when it aired because I had school in the morning lol. I've been watching reruns recently and appreciate the show better now.

Thinking back to the shows as kids ... the water cooler talk in grade school. That was nearly 30 years ago for everything. Family Matters, Ducktales, In Living Color, Alf, Simpsons, Saved by the Bell, Step by Step. Time flies for real.

It makes a person realize just how short a time we are in the vast history of life. Those are some classics. Who would have ever thought Cosby Show back then would be pulled off the air years later? Crazy how life has twists and turns.

Tupac himself has become a mythical figure in hip hop. Just crazy and it seems as time goes on with how rap is changing his aura will be greater coming from the "Golden Era" where hip hop was just hitting mainstream in terms of crossover.

Welcome to getting old. I went through this phase back in my 40s. Y'all just going back to the 90s. I grew up in the 70s and 80s. Finished watching "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" a few days ago. THOSE were my high school years so it was definitely nostalgic. I'm used to it now but it does make you reflect back on some things.

And Juice was an amazing film. Tupac's acting chops especially as a rapper were incredible. Dude was seriously talented. Multi-talented dude.
