Defunding the police is not gonna solve anything it’s just a band-aid to try to get mofos to shut up and get off the streets.
It’s like your car needing new brakes and all you do is get the right rear brakes replaced and leave the other 3 worn ones alone.

Shit is insane. Like I said before, you don't accomplish dramatic, radical change by stating that you are about to introduce revolutionary change.
The homeland security act was not called "the act to dramatically curtail your civil liberties".
In this environment, We could actually get some meaningful, revolutionary change done but instead all of the energy is going to be spent trying to explain what "defund the police" means.
In nothing I said did I advocate continued subjugation by the police in its current state. You are deliberately creating a false narrative to avoid a well known problem within the black community. No snitching.
I am comfortable standing by my statement that our community as it stands is not equipped nor prepared to police itself. Though police brutality exists, drugs, gangs, and numerous other criminal activities continue to plague our community in parallel with the police misconduct. Disbanding the police will not solve all of our community problems. We have to be honest about this. Let's deal with the issue at hand sensibly. Put dirty cops in jail. Put more black men from the neighborhood on the police force. Have the police answer to a community oversight committee with the power to dismiss, suspend, bring charge on any police officer it deems necessary. These are sensible and tangible police reform policies.
If so many officers resign or leave - that opens more jobs for brothers and sisters

Defund the police only scares people who fear their neighbors more than the government. Why do I need the police for protection but I also need the second amendment for protection. If the second amendment is supposed to protect you from the government won't it protect you from a criminal. We just don't critically think. And I am totally against us being scared to talk about progressive ideas because people are scared. The republicans aren't scared to ban muslims, or put immigrants in cages.
