simple ... they did ...do u think with all the exposure ..tickets sales in all sports ..increase tuition..being on tv more ..

etc etc ...they not gonna make more than his 5 million dollar salary ...?

they probably already made 5 times that n havent played a game ...

shit the basketball game sold out just off the rumor he might b there ....smh
Oh okay. I thought you meant Colorado made that $29.5M back already

Within a week I can see how proceeds from season tickets sales eclipsing $5M though. That's if they have already gone on sale of course.

LOL... As the years go by, you get "wierder" and "wierder"...What the hell does coaching a college football team has to do with being part of the most dangerous profession in America (being black rapper) ?

I rest my case...

Tried to take all his shit, identity theft and rob all his money. I live this lifestyle, so I know there was some story like this behind the scenes. This could have happened at gunpoint if he had not offered an opportunity to discreetly take it. He talked about his security detail that he is probably paying out of his pocket.

I was robbed/identity theft by scamster whites-political corruption, than to add further insult, try to hold me hostage to prevent word getting out. Hell yes, I am leaving, not taking this type of disrespect. It is worse than the Twitter files.

Now it is constant victim blaming cover up and trying to cause physical harm. I want to leave respectfully, not with some water jug and dingy looking crossing some border crossing begging. If you want your golden goose to stay at an HBCU or me to stay in the U.S>, you better step up your game, the thief should have gotten beaten up to send a message.

That's the easy way of them saying Deion didn't honor my commitment because I'm only a 3 star recruit

I am not trying to call Deion Sanders a sellout, but as the dust settles something is bothering with me about this move to Colorado. My conspiracies side is telling me that he was paid to leave Jackson State because he was bringing too much attention to black college football programs and white people especially PWIs did not like that. I hope that thought is wrong, but you never know. The black colleges is seeing a very high enrollment over the last few years and Deion Sanders took it to another level. I think that really bothers a lot of so-called white boosters if you will.

Colorado won one game this season. If Deion wins only two games, them MoFos should be ecstatic up there. All kidding aside, I think Deion is going to do very well up there.

Jackson State could be a feeder school for Colorado. That is if the administration stays out of the way. Do two years at Jackson State (and if you ball your ass off), jump right into Colorado.
Is that a good thing for jsu and hbcus?

I think it could be. I believe that there's great talent at the HBCU level. But, I also believe that a lot of it is overlooked by the NFL etc... I think that this can be a great way for some of that talent to break into the pros.

If the student is bent on the academics, then they'll have some decisions to make if they are a good athlete and good with the books. But, for those whom are just interested in the athletics, they should be able to jump.

I know out here in Cali, St John's Boscoe, Mater Dei, and Santa Margarita are feeder high schools to USC and UCLA. I don't see why this can't take place for HBCUs and PWIs.

Going from highschool to college is different from going to black college to a bigger white college. You are literally draining and cherry picking the best talent from the black school for the white school.

Are Colorado alumnus and boosters going to give money to jsu? Are players who jumped from jsu to Colorado then the pros going to give back to jsu and support them?

I don't see any upside for jsu in that deal.

I am going to give Deion Sanders two years. If you don’t show results in Colorado, they are going to run him out of there and like I said earlier in this thread, there’s no coming back.

Last time I checked, a commitment doesn't mean SHIT until they sign a letter of intent. Folks are acting like a bruh is tossing kids out of their dorms or some shit. FOH.

For a team that went 1-11 he should be like principal Joe from lean on me and walk thru the halls with a bat!

im curious. What exactly did Deion say? I thought he said God brought him there to provoke change…

I’m not trying caps for the dude. Just can’t believe he did all of that economic impact for the City and SWAC and we are tearing him down.

ninja established a pro day and brought $45 mill to the City and million to JSU. Seems like change, just saying.

I support whatever Deion wants to do.

I also agree with Bo harping on the religion thing

Deion did /does use it as a weapon

And there is a hypocrisy

And also messed up to use that when we know how religion effects black folk.

Deion using the GOD thing to always somehow legitimize his decisions ain't cool.

I heard JSU wasn't paying Prime his money on time, and trying to cover it up. That's going to be a problem for anyone. Imagine building a program up and eventually having to sue the institution for the bread they promised.

Jackson State responds to rumors surrounding departure of Deion Sanders

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - JSU responds to rumors surrounding the alleged unfulfillment of Deion Sanders’ contract.

On September 27, a podcast featuring Deion Sanders by the company “Earn Your Leisure” was uploaded to YouTube.

The following comment by Sanders was clipped from that interview and spread on social media:

“How can we have 60,000 people in the stadium and you told me we sold out? I check the receipts and we only sold 28,000 tickets? Y’all better find out who’s stealing because that affects my pocket,” he said.

The comment from the interview was specific enough to draw the attention of several people who went online to share their opinions about if this could have led to Sanders leaving JSU.

Coach Prime recently accepted the head coaching job at Colorado after three seasons with JSU. He has a clause in his contract that states if a JSU game sells over 30,000 tickets, then he would receive 10% of the total revenue of ticket sales.

In response to those rumors, Jackson State’s Division of Athletics released the following statement Thursday afternoon:

“Jackson State University has honored all financial obligations of Coach Deion Sanders’ employment. The video in question was filmed on September 20 on our campus. Unfortunately, a seconds-long excerpt using a hypothetical example from an over 60-minute interview is being used out of context and circulated as fact.”

Speculation aside, Sanders will coach his final games as the JSU head coach in the Celebration Bowl on Saturday, December 17.

I agree that (let's use Colorado) Colorado would be cherry picking and taking away the best that JSU has every two years. But, JSU will also get top high school athletes to enter their program because of this phenomena. This could be like a revolving wheel, if it is run correctly.

Are Colorado boosters going to give to JSU? If they are winning because of these transfer students whom are coming from JSU, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Are the players who jump from JSU to CU going to give back once they enter the pros. They could, I don't see why they wouldn't. Is the percentage high for pros to give back to their Alma maters? If it is, I don't see why this would change. JSU gave them the opportunity to play, as did CU in this case. I've been to junior college, and two universities (USC and Morehouse) and I support them all. All of them are my Alma maters.

I can see this as a potential win/win. But all of the participants have to be on the same page.

looks like some white players are deciding to de-commit as well. Tyler Evans was supposed to play QB for CU. Now he plans to go to UNC
