It had nothing to do with the cut, and it had everything to do with him taking an unnecessary ass whooping. That right straight was voided when he lost his balance, and he had 0 chance of winning.
It was a great move to throw in the towel.
Wilder landed a couple of big shots right before the towel flew in. I UNDERSTAND, why a mf would want to throw the towel, but I didn't agree with it...
Wilder also said he is upset with assistant trainer Mark Breland for throwing in the towel to stop the fight and suggested that Breland will no longer be part of the team on fight night. He said he was displeased with the work of referee Kenny Bayless, who took a point from Fury in the fifth round, and went out of his way to congratulate Fury on his performance.

I get why as a fighter he needs to believe some of the shit he says e.g. costume heavy etc....gives him a reason to think he can win a rematch....but don't say it in public man....just makes you look like a clown
His very basic fundamentals have gotten worse because him and his team completely fell in love with his power and he kept catching people with the power shot...there was bound to be a night when it wouldn't bail him out....they had to have known that....from a competitive standpoint I don't think it makes sense for a third fight but this is a business and it does make the most business sense....he will lose again but can retire with some nice change
There are some little changes he can make in the meantime (definitely needs to improve the jab) and he can pray that Fury binges out on coke...if not, he will be in for a worse beating as Fury will just have more time to gel with the Kronk crew...don't forget, it was a new style for Fury too
