Ray J Curiously U-Turns On Diddy Criticism After Confrontation With Mogul's Sons

by Sam Moore
Published on: Nov 20, 2024, 10:00 AM PST

Ray J has made a drastic U-turn on his views about Diddy after being confronted by the mogul’s sons.

In his latest interview to discuss the various criminal charges and civil lawsuits against Puffy, the singer and reality star defended the Bad Boy boss by questioning whether the allegations are true.

Appearing on NewsNation’s Cuomo on Tuesday (November 19), Ray J said: “Is any of it real? Or how much of it is real? I think that’s where we are now because they just keep piling on. Now everybody is starting to feel weird about it and it’s starting to look like it’s one-sided against one man, and people aren’t liking it.”

The “One Wish” hitmaker specifically cast doubt on Diddy’s alleged “freak offs,” which prosecutors have described as “elaborate sex performances” where the record executive would force women to sleep with male prostitutes for his pleasure.

“I think that there might have been times where people have partied with a certain team of people and there might have been a ‘freak off,’ right? But I can guarantee you, most of the celebrities that went to Diddy’s parties never even heard of a ‘freak off.’

So, the ‘freak offs’ in the beginning sounded really interesting and entertaining, but in this space now, when you look back, where were the ‘freak offs?’

“Everybody that’s super legitimate, that’s an A-List celebrity, from my knowledge — I just know that I have never seen a ‘freak off’ — what does that really mean?

“Is that really real? Are we creating a new narrative for something that’s not there? Was there really dope in the baby oil? What are we doing?”

Ray J also addressed his recent clash with Diddy’s sons, Justin, Christian and Quincy Combs, revealing that they have “worked out their differences.”

The singer confirmed in a chat with Nicki Minaj that the Combs trio confronting him at a Halloween party in Los Angeles in October over comments he had made about their father.

“No, we didn’t have a fight. We had a big argument right outside the club,” he explained. “This time, I think I got loud and got aggressive. But it was the third time this happened so I felt like I needed to stand up for myself.

“Even though I was talking shit and we were having a lot of crazy words, I was walking that way to avoid the issue. So that’s what happened and it’s unfortunate.”

Ray J’s latest comments mark a sharp 180 from his criticism of Diddy on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast just a few months ago.
Slamming Puffy’s brutal 2016 attack on Cassie, he said: “Everybody messes up, but we can’t be cool after that. It’s unforgiveable, it’s too much. Never being able to be around us and our world ’cause we don’t condone that is definitely a fact.

“There’s no room for that in this world that we’ve been working hard to get to […] That’s fucking unacceptable. I’ve never ever seen nothing like that in my life.”

“The homie need a public whipping,” he added. “It’s the only way it’s gonna be right […] 100 lashes […] 1,000 lashes. That would help.”

At the end of the day we all know what federal prosecutors are doing to him is not right.

We should support our black people because no else does.

I grew up watching The Cosby Show, and Different World and what they did to him was wrong, what's worse we allowed it.

Don't let bias, affect your judgment, "allegations from 1996", and with Cosby allegations decades old.

Don't let them set a president at what they can do to successful black men.

It is a trial as it is living in this country to be black.

Support our black brethren.

All True.

But when you as a Black Man achieve a certain level of success and fame, you have to be aware of your surroundings, the people you associate with and what you do.

Just cuz White Boyz can run around like a fool and do whatever they want without a care in the world, doesn’t mean you as a Black Man can do the same things.

Fuck Diddy and any of his supporters! He has caused harm and or ruined plenty of black lives. He doesnt get a pass because he’s black. And we all know the majority of the allegations are true. So let’s not play these dumb ass games like he’s an upstanding black man …

I believe the prosecution fucked up. If he has one iota of legal information in those documents they went through. That case should be thrown out. He'll, he could be writing a novel or anything when it comes to those allegations. Diddy might have a way out. If that's so, he should leave this bitch and never come back.
