Didn't ever think I'd be making one of these. R.I.P. Killagram.

Dude at my job passed away yesterday we had a 2 hour conversation on sports, music and raising kids just Saturday, his heart just went out they said…..point being live everyday like it’s your last we just never know…Ced was 49

RIP Killa

had a similar thought in my head like yesterday ..... my brother been dead two months now .....

Condolences re: the losses of your work friend @THREAD_CRITIC and brother @Texas Catdaddy .

It's with heavy heart that I have to share with the members of BGOL that our brother and friend Killagram has transitioned on to the next life.

He was born on July 26 1978 and passed on March 2, 2024. It took me a long while to find this out, as the nature of our relationship didn't yield much access to family or people who could confirm what had happened. Killa was my bro, partner in crime, a businessman, a dawg on these hoes, and was every bit the real life character he was on this board. He always bought the bar and he took good care of his employees and family, and he fed the streets as best he could. So rest assured he enjoyed life.

I'm not sharing his name partly because I know how ignant niggas on this board can be, but mostly because if I could ask him if he wanted me to I'm pretty sure he'd be like fuck naw lol. I don't suppose it matters much either way, because Killa was who the board knew.

This shit really sucks.

R.I.P. @killagram, you were truly a real one.
:eek2::eek2:

Rip killagram

I heard your style and I beat you nigga
Your whole album I sleep through nigga
'cause 'Te's an avalanche so call an ambulance
And tell 'em to pick up ya people nigga

Don't call Pharocon to squash it
Better yet call the sheriff
And the coroner's office
Tell 'em there's a dead body
In the corner of Lawson
And Alston, I would proceed with caution
These motherfucka's really think the 'Te done lost it
He sold a couple records now they think he flossin'
But I ain't stopped battling, I just stopped rattling
Off rhymes for free 'cuz y'all were making me nauseous
Understand fucka I'm gon win regardless
I still got the hunger pains from my apartment
When me and 9th were both splittin' cans of StarKist
Arguing about who LP was the hardest
And a hand full of CD's ready to burn
Some real hip hop for your listening nerves
A year later hooked up with a nigga named Murs
Now everybody play our records for they women and churn
Jay-Lee got the Eastcoast getting the loot
Living Legends on the Westcoast, ready to shoot
Get ourselves while they call up the troops
Phonte Taylor made for the game y'all just following suits
Hey yo the animals, ready for war, destined for combat
Play the CD or tape and then rewind that
You want beef motherfucker never mind that
(And if he owe me money, bitch nigga better find that)
We animals, ready for war, destined for combat
Play the CD or tape and then rewind that
So let me know where ya mind at? (what!)
Murs 3:16 meets Foreign Exchange
Keep ya ear to the speaker, quit ignoring the names
Welcome to the next level, top floor in the game
Felize done hooked up with a clubbed-out nigga so
Skip the sidekick, I'm a nextel nigga
If I hit ya on the chirp, with a verse you better roger that
Picture word-perfect from the land where the Dodgers at
Trying to get some money with some pussy on the side of that
Never have to ask where my killas or my riders at
But when fake gangstas try to find where them dollars at

Go to any city where there's pretty ma's to holla at
The illest in your state, one on the tour-date
And more-great, than your grandfather's father
'Te I know it gotta hurt a man they stand by the slaughter
Oughta be locked away when I rock this way
Get rocked on the airwaves but not for play
If my heart should stop and I drop today
I went against all odds and I got my way

Hey yo the animals, ready for war, destined for combat
Play the CD or tape and then rewind that
You want beef motherfucker never mind that
(And if he owe me money, bitch nigga better find that)
We animals, ready for war, destined for combat
Play the CD or tape and then rewind that
So let me know where ya mind at? (what!)

[Phonte] (Rapper Big Pooh)
Yeah, yeah, check it out now
You're now tuned to the sounds of Phonte, Big Pooh and 9th Wonder
(Little Brother) It's Little Brother, (ain't no other) put it down like no other
And I know it's a lot of madness out there, a lot of snakes
A lot of fake ass niggas, claiming they doing this and doing that
Just watch what you do, aight?

[Verse 1: Rapper Big Pooh]
I don't know about you but this nigga here watching me chase
Cause at the end of the day, I don't need no case
Bitches had grimy niggas runnin up in your place
Cause they ain't mention to you past mistakes, and it's fucked up
You lucked up with this chick toting more bags
Than the trash man on a Monday morning
Ideas bout your downfall, already forming
In the mind of this nigga brainstorming, he gotta get her back
Somebody gonna take the rap
So he kept putting bait in the trap until the snake bit
See everybody doing dirt on the low man
Cheating on his wife and his wife didn't know
Wife withholding information on the low
Now old flame back and somebody gotta go
Once the shit hit the fan then you know fo' show
You better watch what you doin cause you don't know
See rap shows near Atlanta
Get tickets as low as $103

[Pooh] You better watch what you say and what you do
Cause you never really know who got they eyes on you
They be plotting, scheming, eyeing, scoping
Waiting for the day they get you out in the open
[Phonte] You better watch what you say and what you do
Cause sometimes it's hard to tell what's fake and what's true
They plotting, harassing, scheming when they spot you
One wrong move homeboy and then they got you

[Verse 2: Phonte]
Dear God, it's my time, believe me I'm with it
But before I go, forgive me for the times that I didn't
Use better judgement against the people I shitted
Them young girls I fucked over and the sins I committed
Thought my master plan was hand crafted
Never thought my master plan would backfire and get my own man blasted
Now we both on our way to hell in hand baskets
Screaming fuck the world for telling us we can't have it
The hoes, prestige and dollar signs
Ready to serve any nigga feeling like he want a part of mine
My conscious would speak to me a lot of times

When I was busy starching up my white collar crimes
The blueprint follow mines, nigga we can go settle it
I got banks in Switzerland and hoes in the Netherlands
That specialize in offshore accounts and embezzlement
So if your dough get tapped, you know where the hell it went
You funny niggas best be going, the dope specialist
Did more pedalling than Greg Lemond

And you ain't tryna see none of that, a wild thundercat
Tryna outrun my past life when I was coming back
And now I kneel and both palms together
Looking for answers and Proverbs, Psalms, whatever
And when my soul burns in hell, to myself I owe it
Cause money, sex and power was the motive, for real

@The Plutonian

You're good people.

Well said re: the late, great Killagram and thanks for the kind words towards fellow BGOL members.

The Murs - Phonte and Little Brother tracks you included happen to be 2 of my faves. I've been a fan of Little Brother's since 2003. Went to Souls of Mischief's 10-year anniversary show and they were one of the openers. Brought great energy and got the venue's crowd L I V E. And those Murs and 9th Wonder projects are some of my faves over the years. Phonte with the great guest spot on that song. Plenty of repeat play in the car for years.

Funny story tying things back to Killagram. I was at my dad's last Sunday afternoon. Helping him with some yardwork and then installing some seat covers in his Rav 4 afterward. One of the guys from the end of the block was walking by and my dad made small talk with him. He's checked in with the guy over the years as he rents out a larger property which is sort of hidden from street view. Guy's in his mid-40s and we ended up talking for 30 - 40 minutes as he had STORIES FOR DAYS. It was quite funny with him standing there holding court as we stood around parked cars, and telling horror stories of some of the assholes he's dealt with. My dad flat out said to him - "You need to write a book, man. You've got GREAT stories. Hell ... you've got enough for a TV or movie script there. Some form of comedy or sitcom for one of the networks ..." and we were laughing along. I co-signed pops. Some people just have that storytelling ability, and this mid-40s guy down the block had that for days, as did a guy like KG. Some of the funniest stories and lines / comebacks ever. Perfect person to grab a meal or drinks with. Have you in stitches one minute ... motivating the fuck outta you the next benchpressing BIG numbers with ease ... talking business & heaux thereafter. I know we're all still laughing at him knocking the fuck outta that asshole in the street from recent years, and documenting it with some photos. Rest in peace, Killa.
