Discussion: ESPN The Last Dance 10-Part Michael Jordan Documentary Series UPDATE: Early release due to coronavirus!

Skip knows better than this, but he has a role to play...i havent been watching Undisputed because between Shannon's Lebron Love and Skip's troll hot takes...there are just saying stuff to get viewers...I wonder if Lebron promised Shannon a role in his cabinet when he runs for president... :dunno: :hmm:
ahead of zeke? even jordan has zeke only second to magic as point guards.

I'm dont think Skip is racist because he consistently throws Romo under the bus and praises Dak every chance he gets....Romo was better than people give him credit for...i know people constantly want to put Eli in the Hall of Fame, but I think the Giants win those super bowls with Eli or Romo with that defense...im not a Cowboys fan anymore but he actually started to play better when Dez got there..

Damn the Cowboys lost you as a fan?

I’m not sure if Skip’s racist but he’s weird so I don’t listen to him. His hate for Lebron is weird and unwarranted so I don’t respect his sports takes.

Waste of time, The Goat history is on full display, haters must accept it

My take?

Both these stans including the late great Kobe stans are looking foolish.

In the end?

Does this even REALLY matter?

All this all time great stuff is a fcking waste

All it does it tear down other greats its a zero sum game.

And what i hate the most?

God forbid one of them dies like Kobe Bean Bryant?

Suddenly now its all flowers and roses and deleted tweets and tears and bullsh*t social media posts and memes and how we focused on the wrong things.

I'm a Jordan fan and Lebron fan and Kobe fan.

I'm Knicks till i die

Ewing my favorite center but I'm not so myopic that i don't recognize Shaq and the Dream

Zeke my favorite point guard, Magic the best point guard, Stockton a hall of famer, Glove best defender, AI the Answer, KJ the beast, CP the throwback.

I'm capable of appreciating all of them at the same damn time

Without RIPPING down their careers to do it.

And we need to stop supporting these hot take shows

Cause i RARELY hear them ripping white athletes careers like this on the regular.

EXACTLY

But at the same time its more points than you or me will ever score in the pros so he has more right than anyone in this thread to say that.

Even if he wrong.

As this whole thing is winding down?

Thos documentary was not that great for the culture right now.

And it aint gonna make me act like being an asshole absolves you of all humanity civility respect and professionalism just because you happened to WIN a lot.

Legends and all time greats haven’t expressed those opinions, so I don’t care to hear his. What he probably sees is him being on a team with MJ and MJ’s going at him for not stepping his game up.

And NO Jordan wasn’t a “Fun Guy” to be around on or off the court. Just be happy that they only showed his assholeness on the court, he was much worse in life.

Not sure how the doc’s not great for the culture? Everyone’s talking about it and loving it for the most part.

That's a whole other thread

i just feel that people NOW all think they experts cause they watched a youtube doc.

I can discuss but i can't DISMISS a damn professional telling me about their expertise and lifes work...

If a seasoned nba vet tells me something about how to properly reverse a pick and roll or a certain player couldn't go left or really wasn't that good at whatever

I gotta respect it

I can still be skeptical or doubtful

But the burden of proof is on ME to discount it.

If i gotta google the guys scoring average?

Yeah that doesn't bolster my argument or lessens his automatically

Its his opinion and no matter what?

It carries more hella more weight over either of ours.

And trust me knicks fans, Krause, Pippen, grant, zeke, labamford and can go on and on are NOT enjoying this as much

And the stray shots people getting like lebron, kd etc

like i said I'm actually watching 7,8 now.

But when its all said and done?

I'm gonna voice my full opinion on the finished product.

While Pippen has noticeably stayed quiet since The Last Dance started airing, despite participating in the documentary to give his side of the story, ESPN reported that those close to him say he's "wounded and disappointed" by how he was portrayed.

"I wish he didn't give a s**t like me about what people say," his former Bulls teammate Dennis Rodman told ESPN. "Scottie was so underrated -- and so underpaid. He should be holding his head up higher than Michael Jordan in this documentary. I think a lot of people are now realizing what he went through. The kid was a hero, in a lot of ways, during those great Bulls runs."

Rodman also made a bold claim that he would actually consider Pippen a better player than LeBron James.

"If LeBron was playing during the '90s, I'd still say Scottie Pippen was the second-best player behind Michael," he said.

Johnson later confirmed to ET that he'll be following in Jordan's footsteps with his own documentary, chronicling his final season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"You get the basketball part of it, but then also how I reinvented myself and how I went into business and what I'm doing today, so it will all come into this documentary," he shared. "I'm looking forward to it."

Channing’s saying MJ had only “One” job is not correct. He was also a motivator and a leader. He set the tone and mindset of winning. Do discredit hi as on a “Scorer” was disrespectful.

I’m guessing since he played with Lebron he’s going to say that Lebron was a facilitator that got everyone involved. Meanwhile over the course of their careers, Lebron averaged 1 more assist and 2 more rebounds per game than Jordan. So all those “Facilitator” and getting everyone involved y’all goes out the window when you look at the bottom line.

And what he said didn’t need to be said, it was a “Hot Take” to get him attention. And it worked.

Don't misunderstand

This hot take sh*t makes my stomach turn

Channing sounds like an attention seeking dummie and embarrassing himself

And brought into question not only his intelligence but entire career and even with that?

I gotta at least LISTEN just off he a pro.

He a dumb pro who i will never listen to in the future seriously but again he was on the floor and in the locker room

He decided to waste the currency that bought him... but i feel he should be acknowledged to having it in the first place.

And given a chance to maybe make that ridiculous statement make sense

He gotta be given more then some shmuck on twitter.

He worked hard to get into try NBA but he simply won the genetic lottery, he’s 7 feet. That’s what he’s listed as anyway.

There’s many NBA players that I don’t care or respect what they say because they’re known to say dumb shit. And they’ve all scored more points in the NBA than me. Bottom line, dumb statements are dumb statements.

I give people respect on not only what they’ve accomplished, but also what they say.
