Discussion: ESPN The Last Dance 10-Part Michael Jordan Documentary Series UPDATE: Early release due to coronavirus!

Also adding to the tension, remember that Pip more than carried the Bulls during MJ’s absence, and you see the “thanks” he received. I can see things from his perspective and why he’d be like fuck all a y’all.

That nigga Scottie signs a 20 year contract and gets mad when the new guys make more money!

Sorry Scottie, when you signed your contracts they were still using stamps, the new guys use the Internet and email! :roflmao:

Scottie did Scottie dirty!

He signed the contracted, even the owner thought it was a bad idea from Scottie’s perspective but he signed it.

I know NFL contracts the renegotiate but I don’t remember NBA contracts get renegotiated.

Scottie should’ve been mad at himself and his agent.

That doesn’t even make sense, How is the owner gonna come up with a contract and then say it’s a bad idea. Something else was said besides “I think it’s a bad idea”

It’s a business, owner’s thinking about the future and trying to maximize his bottom line.

Scottie signed the contract in 1991, Scottie damn near signed to the year 2000!

Scottie wasn’t thinking about growth, he was think about the guaranteed money and that’s it.

Scottie was poor as shit and had a father who had to be taken care of and his mother was getting older

The injuries then wasn't like they are now. There's nothing now beside maybe an achilles that you can't come back from.

Dudes tore ACL's then and were never the same.

Three mil to someone who probably grew up sharing clothes with his brothers :dunno:

Yeah Scottie pretty much said that in the interview tonight, but I’m talking about the owner putting a bad contract in front of Scottie and then now talking about I told him it was bad idea to sign it. I’m like why would you even put a bad contract in front of him then

Just to ease his conscience. No different than when you tell a chick "I'm an arrogant, selfish dude with an only child complex. I'm not a bad dude, but being a great partner is something I'll always have to work at." I'm not saying it cause it sounds nice. I'm saying so that when she tries to throw it in my face later, I can say... "Bitch I told you from the jump."

Dumb ass post

Until 1996 Jordan never made over 4 mil a year.

Did anyone cry about him being underpaid?

I hate the dumb ass comments on twitter...and the way muthafuckas repost that shit, meanwhile they make fun of Skip. They do the same shit, if not worse

The thing is there will be a group online that will take this and run with it. You are correct btw! I agree.

I guess I forgot that Magic had a 25yr 25 mil contract... (84 to 2009)

Crazy enough... After some Google research... Pippen seemed to be following Mike...

In 1988 Mike signed a 8 yr 25 mil...

please BGOL, drop the links once the episodes aired

Kinda like...Diddy...right?:ssshhh:

Hard to believe there's a bigger ego dickhead than orange man and forced, forget the best player ever, but the greatest (revenue generating) player out of your organization... is white ego privilege 101... both of them dickheads are to blame. I'd love to see what the projection loss was... probably near a billion in merchandise, ticket sales, ads etc value loss over probably two or three more years jordan would have played with phil.

The difference is, Jordan was making much more money off endorsements. If I I remember correctly, Pippen had a much smaller endorsement deal with Nike, and the only other endorsement was from Ginsana supplements. Remember "Feel your Ginsana"? :smh:

Yeah. I know it's easy to say. But no one is looking out for you but you. Especially not someone who's bread is tied to how much they AREN'T paying you. Ain't no friends in business and once you sign, it's no longer about what's fair.

In Scottie’s defense you’ve got not one, but TWO relatives in wheelchairs and it ain’t like theyre cousins either it’s your daddy and brother? Two million dollars is enough to take care of them and everybody else back home in early 90s money and locking it in means you can do it without fear. Can’t blame him for making the bird in the hand decision.

We don’t him, we blame him for being mad 7 years later when he signed the contract.

Like I said earlier, I don’t remember if they renegotiated contracts back then?

Michael Jordan’s older brother was 5’8 and dunking o_O...no wonder they were fighting when one of the lost lil brother taller than big brother so big brother mad when he loses, you’re bigger than your big brother so you think you should win and get mad when you dont

Wow...

See krause do THAT?

Over draft position?

Naw man
