As you said living in New York State is the only thing that makes me feel like I could be insulated from a lot of this including the Medicaid to a degree but we'll see.

Yup and I work in healthcare policy and IMO New York has the best Medicaid program hands fucking down in the entire country.....The state incentivizes providers to take medicaid patients....Some states not so much....
