I had almost gave up on the show, then last night they had a fire episode. Zendaya might go down as one of the GOATS someday.
The show is interesting but a few things bother the fuck out of me if I'm honest. So we are to believe that in this Euphoria world all of the teenage boys are not only okay with the openly transgender girl at their school but they also all want to fuck her? Get the fuck outta here. And while I sometime forget that Zendaya is a black woman, this show does a shit job with black male representation. Last season that had the one black kid get raped in front of his girl and they haven't addressed the situation since. I wanted Lil Meech to have more of a role beyond the premiere episode but who knows what they'll have him doing.
Also, the complete lack of parental supervision or oversight is becoming more obvious and weird. Rue's new friend Elliot just has people over at all hours doing all sorts of drugs and not a single adult shows their face. And even when adults are present they treat the kids like they pay rent or something. Nate has a standing sneaky link appointment with Sydney's character, having loud sex in his bedroom and his parents are just downstairs trying to tune it out, WTF? Then you got the fun drunk Mom who allows the kids to drink so she can hang out with them.
I get that the show wants to display the range of circumstances surrounding having a loved one who is an addict, but I don't know a single black Mom who is going to allow their child to curse them out and tear up their house without just tossing that lunatic out the house. Ain't that much patience and forgiveness in the world. This last episode, Rue got away with way too much shit that realistically requires some consequences. If she manages to get out of this season without repaying the plug back the $13K she owes on that suitcase then this whole series is full of shit.

No, it's more than that. The lady gave her $10K worth of product on consignment to flip. The plan was that she enlist 3 others to help her move the product and pay them $1K each and out of what's left she kicks back $3K to the plug and keeps $4K for herself.
She owes $10K for the product plus $3K for interest/credit or whatever you want to call it. That's $13K and she only came back with about $2000, so at the very least she owes another $11000. Again, I call bullshit if this goes unpunished by the end of the season. However, it would be an interesting twist if Rue or her sister Gia gets snatched up into some human trafficking shit due to Rue's recklessness.
