In fact, she started out as a personality on BlackVoices in the early 2000s and it was there she declared her intention to get into adult entertainment, and she publicly documented her journey into the world of porn. And after she left and became a pioneer in those early days of pre-Bossip black bloggers (Sandra Rose, Nicole Bitchie etc) she was quiet about her porn history at first, but once people connected the dots, she fully embraced it. At that point, she talked about her porn all the time... she would often draw from her experience in the industry to comment as an expert when the world of mainstream entertainment converged with porn (such as when Pink when her exposure derailed Farrah Franklin's attempt at a Destiny's Child spinoff group, or the scandal around Montana Fishburne, or when Brian Pumper became a popular meme--she talked quite a bit about working with Pumper and how weird and nasty he was, obsessed with sniffing her bootyhole and all that).

The real reason she abandoned her blog and disappeared was because despite her growing success as a blogger, she could not escape her instincts to be a scammer--which she has indulged in for every stage of her career, going back to BlackPlanet. She was selling some sort of product--can't remember now what it was--but she took a boatload of people's money, and jetted.

But that’s even worse if you ask me. You fucking and sucking for years but got nothing for it. If you had gotten say a small percentage on the sales or streams (that was before her time though) then you’d at least have something. And to think a few small percentage of hoes do crossover. The ball really got rolling I think in the mid-to-late 90s. You had a number of all-Black series with Black directors starting around that time. Jake Steed is a good example.

No. I agree. I think the ball got rolling in the 90s as you say but I think by the mid 2000s was when it was really cranking. Almost machine like if you know what I mean. They had the formula down pat by that point. But a few years later the landscape shifted on them.
