I think the chick that played that role went by Angela Tracy (either real name or alias) and at some point Angela Devi used that alias too, so since they were both actresses in the LA area around the same time the two were conflated. That happens every so often when you have databases that fans help to update.

They saw her name and probably being unfamiliar with Angela Devi otherwise, saw that name was tied to someone who was also a porn star. Well, they used to cast porn stars in roles like that all the time back then. I think Devin DeRay played a stripper in another Brian Hooks movie so it would've made sense that the chick was a porn star too even though that wasn't the case that time.
