Another smoking gun is the fact trump never asked Comey about the Russian interference. A foreign country interferes in a US election basically a cyber pearl harbor/911 type scenario and the president doesn't even ask about the investigation or extent.
I'm curious.... Please explain?
So I'm listening to Trump's attorney... I get what he is saying and all. I know you have to do your job. But...
Never... Ever make definitive statements about what your client said or didn't say when everything is ongoing and especially when you look at how contemporaneous the notes were from the conversation. I'm not even adding the fact that Comey immediately talked to key members in the FBI after these conversations. Even though the conversations were straight he said he said.... You have a pattern and other people to collaborate that Comey discussed these conversations with them.
But NOW you have it out there... that this shit never happened. I would have said some shit like.. "Even though we respect Comey's service and integrity, we disagree with his interpretation of these conversations. We anxiously await the end of these proceedings and we reserve a more detailed statement until a later date".... and then you get the fuck out.

Comey basically said he didn't go to AG because he is involved. Compromised. Sessions would have alerted trump to the sting so he kept it humble. Comey knew sessions didn't want to have to stay in the room.
He laid a trap so everyone who left the room can now be called in. He exposed how dumb Trump is. He basically said: you didn't want someone with experienced well, you fucking got it.
He also sent dog whistles to FBI to finish the job. And we should all know this is about getting Trump on bank or business fraud, lies. He doesn't care about the obstruction. An investigation into his entire family and crew will lead to financial disclosures that will trace back to Russia or Trump. Fuck the obstruction charge. That's the broke taillight so they can search the trunk.

If Trump didn't fire Comey when he did..... He was going to be really fucked. Basically... Comey turned himself into his own Personal FBI asset against Trump and was using the conversations to develop a case against him.
If Comey stayed on a couple more months.... I guarantee you he would have upgraded to wearing a wire.

I mustve missed where they draped the cape around Comey's shoulders and led him out of the hearing room as he was hunched over..then Comey suddenly throws the cape off and runs back up to the stand

Just my opinion and I hope I'm wrong.
1. They won't find any collusion between Trump and Russia. A couple of his associates may go down for collusion, but it won't be Trump.
2. Once it becomes evident they don't have the smoking gun some of the public will soften on Trump.
3. Fast forward to re-election. Assuming that the economy is doing well, a weak Dem presidential candidate and low turnout, Trump squeaks into a 2nd term.
IF Trump goes down for anything it'll be for money laundering. <---I hope I'm right on this
