Black immigrants were NOT a significant segment of the Black population until fairly recently and they ARE NOT of the same lineage people affected by American chattel slavery and Jim Crow. If a Black American couple went to South Africa and claimed that they could assert a claim to apartheid reparations, or even if they had a child in South Africa and tried to do this, they would be laughed out of the country. Rightfully so. But we're supposed to allow such bullshit here?
