It was not an accident - she meant to do it and she thought she would get away with it because Cops do all sorts of shit and get away with it - she found out she is not one of the "Boys" -

Most pistols don't have physical safety switches. It's actually a disadvantage as it's an additional step that needs to be taken when drawing your weapon and in the heat of the moment, it's easy to forget to disengage the safety.
He was lucky he wasn't carrying appendix when that dumb ass cop attempted to remove his gun. That particular holster is designed to cover the trigger guard and her fumbling around trying to remove it caused her to break 1 of the primary gun safety rules in having her finger inside the trigger guard area. All she had to do was remove the gun and holster as one instead of trying to remove it from its housing.
Man, she would have shot that mans dick off. I got a feeling that with him being black, the state being Florida, and cacs emboldened by trumps return, he ain't about to get shit.
Cops seem to have no problem throwing female Cops under the bus. You see how fast she got fired. He will get some sort of settlement. We'll see how much.

I love my little Taurus G2C and prefer to carry it over my Sig because it has a safety. It takes .5 seconds to turn it off and it prevents shit like this.

Florida is like the Wild West. Since DeSantis got rid of the concealed carry permit every one is strapped. I remember having my permit and each time I was pulled over along with my drivers license I told the officer I have a weapon in the car and showed them the permit.I don’t know why they would have to take it off of him and pat him down? shouldn't need a safety if you have a solid holster and practice proper gun safety. you literally have to break 2 gun safety rules to discharge your weapon and a good holster will properly secure the weapon so discharges are minimized as well.
