Floyd Mayweather Accuses Rap Industry Of Making It “Cool” To Be Drug Addicts

Any drug addict can say that they sound like Whitney Houston when they sing in the shower, too.

Not many drug addicts have a global presence and fan base like Future.

Futures role model is the drug addict that older generations still to this day swear was a God.

LMAO. Ye olde "he gettin' dat money tho!" dodge. You need a new playbook.

Hendrix and other addicts like him had actual talent. Marketing won't make Future any more than what he is: a gassed up package shined up to look pretty for rubes.

Has nothing to do with him making money.

Has to do with the fact that he has a fan base that supports him and his music.

Talent is subjective.

What Future does that people like requires talent.

Whatever he is makes his fans happy.

Hendrix was an addict whose music influenced people to do drugs.

Funny how you people tend to forget about your musical idols and their drugs problems.

If you weren't knocking music with drug influences when you were younger then you have no right to complain now because you helped to usher in what we have now or you're a hypocrite.

Either way, Future models himself after Jimi, who died from what again?

Selective amnesia at it's finest.

Never once heard a rapper promote drug use, and I don't consider weed a drug. Rocks stars are known for their cocaine parties and orgies which rarely included any black folks.

Come on bro, you're kidding right? Didn't a rapper do that "popped a Molly I'm sweating" song. Maybe you're not up on drug lingo or this culture, I sure as hell ain't. I had to ask my cousin about the multiple stacked cups that people were drinking out of.

Oh so now it's not about money? The "global fan base" is just for what exactly...appearances? Self esteem?

You keep trying to dodge the issue and it's not working. Make up your mind already.

Future can say whatever he likes, he can "model" himself after whoever he claims. Him ≠ Hendrix. No amount of marketing shills on any number of websites will make it so.

The one reason he is where he is, is that Dungeon Fam cosigned him when he first popped up. That's it. Dude doesn't even operate from any position of strength, he's working to pay back the guy he snaked in the back who first put him on. Remember? Talent? This is the full and only extent of his "talent":

Guess he never heard of a Lean song, or all them songs about popping pills and I bet that person cannot name one rock song where they sing only about drugs..

There is nothing to make up.

Future has a fan base that loves him.

You knocking his talent doesn't matter because there are millions of people that feel his music.

He's bigger than Hendrix in the eyes of todays youth and with social media will be even bigger than Jimi ever was.

The reason is the reason and he is where he is, which is one of the top rappers in music for the past five years.

Are slave chains supposed to be a representation of rap now or rap back when I was a kid in the 80s when they were rapping about selling dope?

Is this a new problem you want to complain about or are you going to go back to the root of if when you probably bobbed your head to destructive music?

Only thing that has been danced around was you answering my question.

Did you complain about your generations music that sang about the same messages?

If you didn't then you have no right to complain about what is being played today because you're a part of the problem.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

I notice you didn't respond with how Hendrix died:cool:

Wait can someone name Hendrix songs that were about drugs?
Again, black culture refuses accountability and critique, oh but whites do blah blah blah
He specifically talking about drug rap

Are you saying it's okay to promote drug use as long as your getting paid?
Not promoting drug use, just trying to get paid. Yo Gotti and Rocko are 2 rappers I have meet personally and I do not think either one of those do any drugs. When you get the money then you do what you want to.
Anytime a black youth is not controlled by education, politics, religion, and law then drugs take over to keep that young mind in check. We are all junkies and some people can be controlled with the mild poisons in food and the addiction to processed food. When that do not work then what they have already put in you will pull you to drugs weather they be street drugs or doctor's drugs.
I was a person who hated school as a child. Why the fuck they force me thru all that bullshit when they got this empire by robbing, stealing, and killing. So I was one of the unsatisfied. But as long as you are dreaming with whites and embrace the reality they created you are safe.
