I think people hate him because he came across as a guy trying to move black people forward politically. He represented a new chapter in young black leadership and we counted him as one of "our own". Then he turns up (literally) gettin fucked by white guys, doing drugs and engaging in a sham marriage embarrassing his family in the process. Its never a good look when black people accept you as a leader and then they find out you taking it up the ass from a white man. It feels like a betrayal. That's my guess.
