I grew in So Central LA, in Swans neighborhood. Most of my relatives banged. I didn't. Anyway, Swans are Bloods, and our neighborhood was surrounded by Crips (Eastcoast to the North, Kitchen to the East, Avalon to the South, and Main St. to the West).

I could go through any hood and not be accosted. Gangsters know who's banging and who isn't. It's just like someone said already. Be respectful, watch what you're doing and you'll be fine. If you're going to places where gangsters hangout, don't be surprised if gangster shit pops off.
