"When I learned that Missandei was going to die, I knew that, as the only woman of color on the show, I knew that people would feel her loss, like the loss of her, because she’s also just like a really kind, good character. I was not anticipating, I guess, the size of the reaction that happened," Emmanuel shared. "I think that really sparked a conversation about, when we make these shows in the future, when we are casting these shows, like, do we just have to have the one person—is there space for more of us? ... And I think the answer is yes ... And I know the answer is yes."

During another recent chat with Josh Smith's Make It Reign podcast (via the New York Post), Emmanuel revealed how her nude scenes on Game of Thrones have since affected her career.

"When I did Game of Thrones, I agreed toward certain nude scenes or nudity within the show," Emmanuel explained. "And the perception from other projects, when the role required nudity, that I was just open to do anything because I did it on that one show." She added, "What people didn’t realize is I agreed [to] terms and specific things for that one particular project, and that doesn’t necessarily apply to all projects."

"I’ve had people challenge me and be like, 'But this part requires that,' and I said, 'That’s fine if you require that in the part; I don’t feel comfortable doing that level of nudity. I will do this amount, you know, I can do this, which I think is necessary for the part," she added. "Frankly, if someone was, like, 'Well we need this nudity,' I would be, like, 'Well, thank you very much, I appreciate your interest but that’s just not what I feel is necessary for this part and it’s a difference of opinion and creative differences and that’s fine.'"

Didn't even remember her death foh

dude probably has writers block.......imagine the pressure
IMO he wrote himself into a corner he cant get out of.

I believe it started in book 4 and continued thru 5.

He has bullshit storylines and plot devices in the books, that cannot be easily resolved or wrapped up in just 2 more books.

again just my opinion :dunno:

Naw, I think he made a deal with HBO to not finish the books before the series ended even though he has denied it, and with all the money and attention he has been getting he hasnt had time to finish the books. BTW which storyline in the book you think is bullshit?

OK

Here is where for book lovers there will be controversy and bitching

A lot of people hate that D&D killed the lady stoneheart character theme. I thought they did a wonderful job of trimming unnecessary fat from the books.

Now my take on this may be skewed for the following reasons...I didn't start watching GoT until season 5. I then went and read all of the books.

So as I am reading the books, I have the experience of binge watching seasons 1-5 in my mind.

Other unnecessary plotlines (IMO) The midget pippa and her pig or whatever, the side plot involving her and tyrion that has no real effect on the story. the griff BS. The greyjoy extended story with victarian...

I just had a fucking epiphany writing this shit out...

Its not that these are bad story ideas, its just that they belong in a whole Separate book/story.

At its core ASOIAF is about the Targaryen and stark family line coming together DESPITE the great animosity between them.

For the most part all other stories/character views, serve as insight, back filler, into that ultimate resolution.

A lot of fat GRRM has put into the books should be trimmed for scraps and other books, but not part of the main ASOIAF saga.

I also hated the jeyne pool?!? bullshit. Just think if they did not move her story arc to sansa NONE of what we saw with sansa and her growth would have happened. IIRC in the books she's still chilling at the vale.

Nah Aegon/Griff is necessary to make Dany's turn make sense seeing him have the support of so many Westeros houses by the time she gets there since he's already built up alliances after getting there with the Golden Company etc. He also is neccessary to make Varys and Illyrio make sense in the story as he's always been their long play they've been plotting on for so long. In the last season Varys character and Dany's heel turn were both butchered due to not having Aegon/Griff

I don't think that's the issue at all. He got paid and is living a life beyond what he could ever hope for. It's just that simple. The Last 10 years he's gotten flown around the world to speak about the work he's already completed. What's the incentive for him to finish it? The best that can happen is is people will say it didn't measure up to earlier books.
