WTF...shouldn't he be making residules off of Different Strokes and the Gary Coleman cartoon hour?

Obviously, his representatives weren't able to negotiate that kind of deal. His parents ran through most of his money, and his (and some tranny looking nigga who accompanied him on Arsenio) ran through the rest.

Mann If That Dude Had Invested Or Put Away Just 5% Of What He Was Making Back In Da Day He'd Be Okay. Even Though O.j. Simpson Stays In Trouble He Was Smart Enough To Put Away Enough For A Pension. It's Hard For Me To Feel Sorry For Someone Who Had Big Money.

One of the great child actors, Todd Bridges, totally self-destructed as a young adult.

Gary Coleman, despite some rocky moments involving his temper, has been a far more mature and stable adult.

I can honestly say this cat has been doing bad for years.
I saw him over ten years ago, working security at an arcade on the Beach in California.
Couldn't have been making more than ten an hour.

Then, like five or seven years ago, a friend and I were buying a camera at a shop in the Fox Hills Mall. He walked in and started complaining about the price of one of the cameras (i think the price of the camera was like $149 or something) he was getting irate at the cashier for it being so expensive. We were amazed, cause we were thinking the same thing "damn, this cat must be broke if he is whining over something so trivial". My homeboy whispered to me "tell him to say what u talkin about willis" to which i replied "man, he probably tired as hell of people asking him to say that". We were completely out of earspace, but then he turned around, looked me right in the eye (Im 6 foot 5) and said "you have no idea how true that is....

Uhhh, what's wrong with leading a regular life? Dude had to make a living as an adult. He tried starting a production compny and other showbiz stuff. He even ran for governor in recent years. He's a brilliant guy. Very intellectual, if also ill-tempered and bitter.

Blunt,
Bad/Good are relative terms.

He once was paid and famous.

Now, he's broke and famous.

Relative to where he once was in life, he is doing bad.

And I still wish you would die.

Not since he was a child (and never paid into his own pocket, 'cept after the lawsuit years later). He's now 39.

Now, he's broke and famous.

No, he's just a regular working man with a famous name. Same as he's been for the last 20 years.

Relative to where he once was in life, he is doing bad.

No worse than for the last 20 years. Why the sudden interest?

And I still wish you would die.

Good for you.

What "mediocrity?" Dude's taking care of his business. He's survived nicely, compared to his pathetic co-stars, who never had his health issues to deal with. They squandered their lives, while he carried on without self-pity.

Where are people getting all of these other ideas about him?

Well Said!

Im with Blunt on this one...LEAVE GARY COLEMAN ALONE!
This man has had it pretty hard. He had health problems that caused his stunted growth, his ADOPTIVE parents screwed him over and took all his earnings. I don't even think he knows who his real family is. He's gone through a lot of pain. Im sure he tried to stay in the Hollywood game, but unfortunately they aren't handing out too many roles with someone that looks like him. :(

I think he should be commended how he didn't go down the route of his other co-stars by doing drugs and robbing conveinence stores!

He's an intelligent guy and YES he is bitter, but can you blame him? Also, the dry skin looks like psoriasis or something. I'm sure it's probably from his medicines and his kidney problems.

Here is a clip of him on the Chelsea Handler show that I thought was pretty funny.
