Tesla is building their own insurance based on AI and Safety Scores. Teslas currently calculate safety scores based on actual driving. Insurance based on actual driving habits rather that risk attached to age and location will be more accurate and hopefully incentivize good driving.

Generally speaking, the less you drive the less likely you are to be in an accident. I'm surprised Tesla needed AI to figure that out.

The Most Dangerous Car Brands Tesla has the highest fatal accident rate of all car brands, followed by Kia, Buick, Dodge and Hyundai.

For those in the know, tesla has always been a fad at best, a con at worst. When you look at what would happen if everybody in 'murica suddenly had an EV the result would barely move the needle as far as the greenhouse gasses. china and india put so much C02 into the atmosphere it's ridiculous. Afrika, under the chinese invasion is a huge contributor also.

What's the bottom line? That the decades-old reichpublican campaign to make america stupid by reducing the education budget has paid off. We now have a nation of people so ignorant that they believe the barker instead of the people leaving the attraction.

I rent cars for work, occasionally I'll get an electric. Tesla is the worst electric vehicle on the road hands down. IMO, the best is the Chevy bolt followed by the Kia EV6 if you need more cargo space.

The Insurance isn't just based on how much you drive, but your real world driving habits and how often you engage full self driving. The more your driving is done via Full Self Driving, the lower your Insurance.

You drive around in a Hummer or something like a tank, expect to pay through the nose for insurance, for the probability of bodily injury and property damage.

I'm not an actuary so I can't delve into the math, but yeah, Cybertruck generally causes more damage than a Honda civic, so that's one factor in a person paying more, and also why a company might not underwrite it at all.
