Yeah, but the VPN fucks up some of my other shit, like shopping stores like Spec's that are Texas only.

If your VPN supports split tunneling, you can have it apply to one app (browser, in this case) and not another. Use Chrome for everyday stuff and Brave with VPN for filth, for example.

Some VPNs support url exemptions I do believe
