My supervisor was a linebacker for Jackson State I think he said around 2007 I asked him "So y'all bout to run the SWAC for next few years? He tells me nah the competition can't help but get better. With that said how long will it be before the other schools are on Jackson State's level?

It depends. It's not like they blew everyone out. Football is won and loss in the trenches. That's what propelled Alcorn's run and was a source of strength for SU. Whichever team solidify their trenches will make the most noise in the conference.

Fully agree... On paper it's easy to assume they'll run the table, but that doesn't tell a story at all when the games kick off... On paper jstate should've blown Southern out the water, yet it came down to one play in the 4th resulting in a 4 point 21-17 win...

I played against Jimmy Smith. That would be 2 HOFs I played against to 1 I played with. Air should make the list too. I love they are highlighting the HOFs from HBCUs
