The media loves to make laws for white tragedy. Same things happens to us, it's no big deal. But we have the Amber Alert for missing kids. Black name would not generate mass concern. We have Kate's' Law related to Santuary Cities. This white woman who died in Charlottesville will be the poster child of tragedy; once again leaving people of color scratching their heads. I see a holiday for her in that town, a bill going to congress, even a statue or charity in her name. Her parents will enrich themselves speaking on behalf of white tragedy. A legacy has been born. Something never to be done for a black victim of white violence beyond a King or X.

Considering the climate, some of what you stated may be a given.

But this is a great example of chickens coming home to roost. And maybe SOME White people will start to realize that they seriously have to pick up the fight right now more than ever.

Maybe even do some Weather Underground type of shit it and when situations call for it.

As long as positive changes are made i don't care what name its under honestly. They've always been helping within the cause circa before the Civil Rights movement i see it often. We had a peaceful rally Saturday of black, brown and white faces locally here. Four cops cars were out and no one was hurt or arrested.

When one doesn't leave their area or read only newspapers online by their own folks you get this narrative.

The horrific events that occurred in Charlottesville, VAlast weekend were a blatant reminder of how far America has not come.





Akin to the violent attacks of the Civil Right's Movement by white supremacists and Klu Klux Klan organizations, the protest resulted in one death and several hospitalizations. One of those victims was 20-year-old Deandre Harris.

There to protest against "Unite the Right" and their affiliate terrorists groups, the young man was beaten in a parking lot that is said to be in close proximity to a police station.

“Me and about five of my friends were out protesting," Harris said in an exclusive with The Root. "We thought [the racists] left, but at one point they came back. Everyone was exchanging words with the group, but then the KKK and white supremacists just rushed us."

“They were beating me with poles. I have eight staples in my head, a broken wrist and a chipped tooth."

Social media has already put a call-out to find the men involved in the beating— a photo was taken by Zach D. Roberts that's being used to find the culprits. But the fact that it may have happened under law enforcement's watch is what's most concerning.
