Me and a family member just had a similar discussion. IMO, some things are the Lord's will, but there are several verses in the bible that are conditional. (Do abc and xyz will happen.) Wisdom is a major theme, and IMO the folks who are relying on God to step in and personally save them vs take advantage of the knowledge and wisdom He has made available to them, are cutting their lives short. There is nothing in the bible that says don't take precautions, don't protect the community from illness, don't take medicine or seek healers. In fact it says exactly the opposite. Folks are being led astray and killing themselves because of teachings not in the bible. Yes rely and trust in the Lord, but you can cut your own days short. The fact that the POPE has a doctor is all you need to know about relying on the supernatural and spontaneous healing to see to your well being. CAN it happen? Absolutely. WILL it happen? Perhaps, perhaps not. Sometimes you are led to an earthly solution. I pray about problems and issues all the time and get led to the knowledge I need, but God isn't waving a magic wand and fixing everything for me. I have to put in the work. I have to seek the knowledge and answers and apply it. I believe in prayer, and prayer for healing is in the bible, but so is medicine.
