I hear what you are saying, but there is simply no evidence to back it up besides anecdotal cases.

Prior to the gay movement, the idea of disliking something being linked to secretly being that thing didn't exist. In fact, there is no other area in life that I can think of where this logic is applied.

Also, I don't disagree with your assessment about molestation. The co-relation was made only to highlight it being normal to dislike, distrust and even be disgusted by what is seen as abhorrent behaviour.
